Question about Computers & Internet

I use VersaCheck Instant Checks to print checks with Quickbooks. It is asking me to add a validation code in order to continue printing checks. The validation code is not on the box of checks nor is there any paperwork included with a validation code. I still have half a box of checks left. I need to obtain some sort of validation code to put in that will be accepted.

    • I use Versacheck instant checks to print checks with Quickbooks. After using 50 checks out of a 500 check box it is now asking for a new activation code. My check writing is shut down. Versacheck does not reply to e-mail and you cannot get thru on the telephone. The local Sams club does not now stock the checks.

Validation codes for Versacheck check paper comes in each box of paper. If you look thru all the other papers and CDs that come with your paper, you will find a piece of paper with a validation code.

You will probably be able to print checks without the validation code but it will extra clicking every time.

Routing and account numbers do not print in QuickBooks. In order to print checks you need to have checks with the account information on them, using an Intuit/QuickBooks Format. You can get checks with this format from your bank or from office supply stores.

You'll need to go into your printer's preferences when you print from quickbooks by clicking "Properties" in the print dialog. Then search through your paper sizes to find one that is check sized. If you cannot find it, add another paper size that is 6? x 3.75?, which is the size of a check. You might want to cut out a few check-sized pieces of paper to test your settings/margins on, so you're not ruining checks.

Running QuickBooks Pro 2007 and trying to use new version of Check Designer. Despite following all of the instructiuons to set up both programs to print compatible checks, Check Designer will not open when...

You could just use check designer to make all of your checks and print them. Then use them in Quickbooks as needed for check runs as if they are pre-printed from the bank.

I work for Intuit (QuickBooks) and there are ways to program both to run together but it is not without faults and changes in order to keep it going correctly. In my opinion you would be better if using the method above.
