The printer is reading Paper Empty Custom in MP. The paper tray is full and there are no paper jams.
It wants you to put paper in the multi-purpose or pull down tray 1 assembly.
Thanx also for the FixYa. Just the information that "Custom in MP" meant the multi-purpose or pull down tray(which i had never used or even realised the existence of until I looked) led to my finding the rest of the solution for myself. So thank you for this invaluable part of the process, Jim

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.

Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
