Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to convert pci slot to agp slon on motherboard

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

CPU = Central Processing Unit.
Another term used is Microprocessor, or simply - Processor, for short.

The motherboard technology in the above diagram, illustrates technology used for a motherboard with an AGP expansion slot.
PCI also, of course.

The Northbridge handles the FASTER capabilities of a computer.
Processor, Ram Memory, and HIGH-speed graphics.

The AGP technology, and the PCI Express technology; are considered HIGH-speed graphics technology.

Anything utilizing the PCI bus; is NOT.

This is to include a graphics card installed in a PCI slot, or using Integrated Graphics, which may be based on the PCI bus.

The Southbridge chip handles the SLOWER capabilities of a computer.

PCI bus,
IDE bus,
SATA bus,
USB bus,
Ethernet,
Audio (Sound)

Therefore Avijt,
1) You would be changing the motherboard design itself,
2) and trying to utilize technology it does not have implemented.

Need serial interface for this printer

The option of serial printing is not available in t 2240 printer . One thing you can do is to use serial to parallel converter through your PC/LAPTOP to printer. If you are using PC you can add a pci serial/parallel card also. For laptop there are usb to parallel converters available in the market. try the following link for it

I dont have an ethernet port on my pc only dsl dial up port, and my router only has ethernet ports, is there a lead or converter i can use to link my computer to my router?

You can buy a pci ethernet card/ network adapter pci . Installation would be opening your computer and insertig it to an available pci slot. If you have usb ports then you can buy a usb to lan device. Here are the picturesa1679da.jpg132f824.jpg

My laptop does not have a usb port (old lady 380ED) how do I convert it to use one

It can't be done on this laptop. If it had a "PCCARD" slot (the 380ED has the older PCMCIA slot) you could get an adapter card to slide in that had USB ports on it, but there is no way to convert your serial or parallel ports to provide a USB interface. Your motherboard must be designed to support USB and yours is not.
