For this receiver you can connect an external amplifier but the signal to that amp will not be attenuated with the volume control on the receiver. Assuming that the external amplifier you are using has gain controls, you can use them for volume attenuation.

Connect a standard 2 channel audio RCA patch cable between the tape1 rec connectors on the Kenwood and the audio inputs on the external amp.

Good luck,
BB

Hook your X Box into the Receiver HDMI input with your HDMI cable and another HDMI cable from the HDMI out on the receiver to the HDMI input on your TV.

The Srm1801, no power light comes on, no sound comes out-like the speaker is dead. The fuses are ok. If amp module is blown can I hook and external amp up to drive the speaker?

I did that after two copies of a Klipsch Subwoofer had the amp die. Disconnect the wires that run from the internal amp to the driver and connect the driver directly to your new amp but observe the impedance. If you have the ability to limit the high frequencies do so as they are wasted on a sub anyway.

I think the movers mishandle your unit that why it happen like that.It needs to reheat or resolder because the solder holding the spare parts are loose or crack,so when it resolder already performance will come again .That all Txjay , just for now.
