Have a Zenith Remote 124-202-01 with MBR3440 on the inside cover of the remote. I've tried all kinds of numbers and generic numbers without any luck. Anyone know what the code is for my 1995 32" Zenith TV System 3 TV?

Zenith 32” TV System 3 Model Number #SM2771S
Solution: Unplug the Zenith TV for approximately 5 seconds. Remove batteries in the Zenith remote. With the batteries removed press the TV button on factory remote and then the power button 5 times and hold the power button on the fifth time for approximately 10 seconds (I suspect this just clears the internal memory of the remote). Put the batteries back in the remote. Plug the TV back in and the remote should work again. My remote did work again successfully.

If your remote control have display but cannot transmit signal to the unit. Confirm first if the remote is really the problem, using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes point the remote transmitter to your camera and "on" the remote. You should see light emits in your remote control, if no emitted light then the remote control is defective. But if there is a light the defect is in the unit receiver.
Check also if there is a reset or rst button in your remote control and reset it and try.
Check also if there are error codes in the unit, reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply in the unit for 10 sec. and "on" again and try.
The unit can be operate without remote control, use the manual button located in the unit.
If the remote control have no display replacement of remote is recommended.

I have the same remote. You need to wedge in a flat-head screwdriver. Push it into the plastic and turn. This will release it from the catches. Now I just have to find out where to get the flat 1/2" lithium battery to replace it.
