Re: saftey cord

For 2-3 three minutes of running does it run normally? No abnormal noise the air out of unit is cool, if you have clamp tester you can check if the current reading of unit is normal, if everything is normal then there is something wrong with your circuit breaker, it needs replacement or your circuit breaker is under rated.

Why would the ac keep popping the breaker on my 1999 alfa see ya fifth wheel trailer when I turn it on

Few reasons, Low voltage coming in, due to long , undersized extension cord, or low power from where plugged in. If it runs ok on fan only, then "moans" and pops breaker when set for cool, it may be a bad capacitor to compressor, if all voltage etc checked out good. A weak breaker may also be cause but not usually.

If you mean safety switch as in your breaker in your home panel than you have a short in the heat strips and it will need to be replaced or re-strung.

I have an electric furnace, it worked fine since it was last repaired, had a bad heat sequencer in it.. but now (3weeks later), it is tripping the 30 amp breaker after a few min of operation ????,...

I ran across a similar problem with electric furnaces years ago. One of the heating elements had failed and the coil was actually making contact with the frame in which it was held. This may be the problem but must be checked with the power off as the chassis may be live. Something is definitely amiss if your unit is tripping a 30 amp breaker and probably will show up on a utility bill next month.

It worked fine last year. This year it throws the breaker on the gen. After 2 or 3 min. The fan works on low and high but it trips on low or high ac its a model 6759c707

If all is the same as when it ran good, such as same power cord (no extension, or properly sized extension ) same generator output voltage etc, then I'd check amp draw when compressor kicks in. Good chance compressor start capacitor may be faulty.

Dometic rv air conditioner over 100 deg. trips breaker.

The problem is that when u add up the electrical draw from all of these appliances running full bore, your draw exceeds your available amperage. Now you are doing the math and saying no...... Let me tell you why. It is rare to find a situation where a 100 amp service actually porovides 100 amps. You almost always have voltage dropo. And when you are adding extension cords to the mix the drop is even more. That said, When you are using the AC try to minimize the use of other appliances, especially the microwave which is a big draw too.

A/c was it keeps tripping cord breaker .control panel not lighting up.when press reset can hear click in control panel but still trip cord breaker.jumped comp. tries to kick on but trips cord...

is it 220 if so check if you 120 on each pole and should be on a dedicated breaker at least 30 amps. make sure you have a good ground.even on 120 you must have a good ground. or the cord breaker is bad. but check all the above. make sure there no lose wires no arcing.

Rv electrical question

By the main breaker in the camper, do you mean the main 24 or 12 volt breaker, or the incoming 120vac breaker? Is it tripping the breaker in the camper, or the house? If it is tripping the breaker inside, i would look for maybe water damage, rusty components, maybe have an electrician come look at it, not worth going out away from home, and that problem ruining your vacation! Does this unit have a generator set? Try disconnecting the generator too. Hope that helps!

Faulty safety power cord...

You can by-pass it by simply connecting the 2 wires together. Obviously the safety it is supposed to protect you from will not work, but it can get you by instill a replacement can be found. It seems like the surge burnt the coil out on the switch. If you are conscious of the heater and what its going ,you should be safe. They made these things a long time without a trip switch on the cord. It just requires some common sense.
