Question about Garmin Nuvi 350 Car GPS Receiver
I have a Garmin NUVI 350 GPS which is not powering on when I press the power button. Also when plugged in to the charger in the wall socket, it does not seem to charge. The welcome window that used to com up when connected to a power source no longer comes up so it seems that it is not charging. Can anyone help with this? Is there any dealer or repair shop I can take this unit to for repair or to be looked at?
Thanks in advance.

If the Nuvi won't charge when connected to charge but charges on USB, then the charger port is faulty.
If the Nuvin does not charge at all , then the battery must be replaced.

Heres what to do:
- Connect to computer using USB cable
- Flip up antenna and hit reset button.
- The unit should power up.
- Then put unit on wall charge to get a full charge.
That should do it if not call 1-800 800 1020.

SOURCE: Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS is off
If the GPS is off, you have to go into the settings menu and change it. There should be three settings - Normal, GPS off and WAAS/EGNOS. Choose Normal or WAAS/EGNOS and you should be ok.

SOURCE: Charging a Garmin Nuvi 260W
Generally most batterys are left on the charger overnight, thats a good way to ensure a full charge, but as you will be using it in your car, it doesn't matter much as power is always available.
To ensure best possible battery life when you have a brand new battery, charge it fully and then drain it almost to 0% Draining most batterys into 0% will be harmfull instead of helpful, I assume the nuvi uses a Li-ion battery so draining it fully is not a good idea, drain it almost fully and then charge it fully.
And you are good to go, repeat the process if you leave the unit unused for a month or two for best battery life.
