    What computer are you using?
Do you have an external display? If so, what brand?

Please give me more details in order to help you.

For now, try to right-click in an empty space on the desktop, choose "Properties" and go to the "Settings" tab. Try to change your resolution with the slider and change the color quality.

Won't let me open any apps or change any PC settings. Says the screen resolution is too low.

More information required-
which one OS and hardware specification you are using.this problem is associated with graphic card/driver.if you didnt install the graphic card drivers already then install them first and if its installed already then Right click on desktop and choose "Screen resolution" or properties based on your OS and choose the different resolution like 1024 X 768 or more based on your graphic/display support and you will see that its providing more clarify and apps will support higher resolution too.

Screen size reduced after changing os

From which OS to which OS, and on which PC Model is this?
Suggestion is to download the latest driver from the manufacturer website for the correct OS you have just installed.
If else, goto you Display Resolution (On Windows 7 it right click on your Desktop and selecting Resolution) and adjust from there.

It only displays 4bits

If your computer monitor displays 4 bit color and a resolution of 640X480 and you cannot increase the color bit and the screen resolution then the display graphics card driver was not installed or the wrong graphics driver was installed.
Install or re-install the correct graphics card driver.

Screen resolution will not change since new computer has benn installed

check if your video card driver is installed properly. you need the driver installed before you can change your display resolution.

to check if driver is installed on WinXP (let me know if you are using diff. OS:
right click My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager

click the + sign on Display adapters. if you don't see your video card brand and model, you need to install your video card driver.

How connect Panasonic TH-50PX75U to PC? it said the PX75 series cant connect to pc, cuz it dont accept pc signal. what i can do? send me a mail: tiancai_6969@hotmail.com thanx a lot dude!

You have to have a couple of things to make this work: 1) a PC with DVI or HDMI output, 2) a video card capable of 1280x720 resolution and 3) a video card driver/utility capable of correcting for overscan.

I have my laptop connected to one of the HDMI inputs via a DVI-to-HDMI cable. I have Windows at 1280x720 resolution on the DVI port (the external monitor). I set this through Control Panel-> Display. Once I did this I was able to see my PC desktop on my TV. The only problem then was the desktop was cutoff on all side. To fix this it was a bit more of an adventure and this solution would only work if you have an ATI Radeon video card.

I installed ATI Catalyst Control Center (CCC). In CCC, it recognized that I was connected to a Panny 50" plasma. Than enabled the DTV settings. Under those settings I put the video card into 720p@60Hz mode. I then had to create a custom format to shrink the screen to fit my Panny display. I then saved this as the default setting for the Windows desktop. Whenever Windows boots it runs CCC and sets this setting for me.

I hope that helps! It can be done and it looks great.

Make sure the drivers for both monitors are installed. Update the driver for your graphics card. Hopefully this will fix your problem. Good luck.

Screen resolution

This is a simple case of Display drivers not properly installed. I'm sure that the Compaq website has driver downloads available from their website. In this case, I'm pretty sure that any language on the drivers will work.
