You will find the instructions at the following link (search for "cloning instructions") http://www.batlabs.com/ht6hack.html

In researching this question we located one source who said the radio to be cloned must have the cloning feature activated in the RSS.

Best regards.

Even with a cloning cable, you cannot always clone. The source radio and receiving radio must (1) be the same exact model, (2) have cloning enabled in the software a dealer used when they were programmed the first time. It sounds like you are doing the correct procedure.

Can I get a cloning cable for a Motorola SP50?

To the best of our knowledge there is no cloning cable available for this model. The programming software requires a RIB, drop-in programming base, and Motorola proprietary RSS software which runs on a slower computer such as an old 486 or early pentium model. Your local Motorola dealer should be able to assist you.

Best regards.

You will need the RLN6303 RDX Radio to Radio Cloning Cable, or two drop-in chargers, or the multi-unit charge tray. Instructions for cloning are on page 51 of the user guide: http://www.weatherconnection.com/manuals/RDV5100.pdf Best regards.
