SOURCE: my dishwasher runs for 3 minutes then the

If you have the same problem the lights will still be on andthe light for an active cycle will still be lit or flashing.

Can you hear the pump constantly trying to drain it may cut in and out?

If you can't lift up the grey float in the bottom of the dishwasher (looks likea grey mushroom shape) and listen for the pump.

If you can hear the pump take out the mesh that traps any food and lift up thefloat again and watch to see if the water goes down.

If you can hear the pump but the water isn't going down you either have ablockage in the pipe or in the machine itself.

Check the pipe first for blockages, if that doesn't fix the problem then eithercall someone out or get someone to help you and unplug the dishwasher and turnit upside down. Unscrew the bottom and check inside.

The first time this happened a piece of sweetcorn had blocked the insides andthe second time some fat that had been poured down the sink back flowed intothe pipe for the dishwasher foul water and blocked it and as a result the pumpcouldn't empty the water.

What is wrong when the "transaction active" light comes on, on the dash board

Transaction? I never seen that. When do you see this come on?
Does it go off or stays on all the time?
I can only think of 2 things:
Traction as in traction control unit goes active meaning it wont slide the rear end under power on rain or snow etc...
Or I have seen an option for towing a trailer where there is a button usually at the end of the shifter lever.
Both of them are ok to have a lite on, if you were to have a problem with transmission you would have the check engine light on and maybe the transmission switch light blinking.
Check you owners manual for a reference of this light.

Power locks stop working

If all stopped at the same time check fuse first I suggest useing a test light ground one end of light. With Ignition key on touch the tester to one end of fuse it should light if it dosent light touch tester to other side of fuse. it should light if both sides wont light you have a bad ground .at least one side of the fuse should light. if both sides light the fuse is good.if fuse is good check for a stuck or bad power lock switch.

Traction active light comes on dash when sharp turning

Hello, this is normally caused by a wheel speed harness going to one of the front wheel speed sensors. this requires a high end scan tool that reads real time data to isolate which harness is at fault. or you could just replace both front harnes. cost is about 75.00 a harnesss. takes about 1 hour per side to replace

Traction active light comes on

This is usually a break in one of the front wheel speed sensors harness. this requires a high end scan tool to check out which one is at fault. make sure both harness are secure and plug into sensor good. without a scan tool, about the only option is replace both front harness

Brake light wont light up when brake pedal is pressed

Sounds like a brake lamp switch or fuse. Check all fuses electrically, with a test probe you can purchase from any auto parts store. Go through each fuse with the probe touching the end or tip of the fuse after clipping the lead on the probe to a good ground. If the probe lights up at both ends of the fuse, the fuse is sound, if it only lights up at one end then replace that fuse and if the probe does not light up at all, that fuse is not active so turn on the ignition but dont start the motor. The brake lamp switch is attached to the brake pedal. It may have a single wire or several. All the switch does is connect the brake lamp circuit to an active supply rail so, The switch should have one active wire and the other wire should become active when the pedal is pressed. If it does not, replace the switch. If it does, then you may have two blown bulbs in the rear lamps or a damaged wiring harness to the rear lamps and you should seek the advice of a qualified person. Start with the fuses, then the switch, then the bulbs..and remember, you may have more then one fuse panel in the vehicle so check under the hood too..

Problems Keeping the cycle going

On the back of the selector switch there is a timer motor or clock motor assembly. The gears wear out or the motor has lost its ability to go through the cycles. Replace it and you should be fine.
