Question about Magellan 2035 GPS Receiver

Open Question

2035 keeps restarting over and over and over

I updated the firmware and now all it does is boots up then says "your device needs to restart to speed up performance" and it just keeps doing that until the battery dies or non stop while plugged in the car.

SOURCE: i typ the address that i want to go to and it

Mine started doing the same thing about 2 weeks ago and I just got around to reading if there is a solution but it appears it's a common firmware issue. In the meantime to get around the problem, you can enter the address into your address book and then it works like normal

SOURCE: Loops from message to restart

Try re booting, turn off like normal, then when you go to turn it on, hold power button down all the way through the start up, and 15 seconds more than release the on button, now it's rebooted, see if that helps, let me know.

SOURCE: message on gps says, your

This is normal, this come straight of the satellite. To speed up process or bypass, reboot system. To Manually reboot this model, turn unit off like normal. Then when turning on, keep button down as it fires up, DO NOT release on button, keep it down until all fires up and even about 10 seconds passed, then let go. This reboots it and cleans up a lot of ****. Thanks Mike.

I have Garmin nuvi 1300 GPS it keeps restarting. I've read that master reset can fix this problem. but how can I save all folders before restarting ?

a rebooting unit will most likely not be resolved by a reset. The problem is usually caused by a failed firmware or map upgrade. When the unit boots and can not find certain files or they are corrupted, the unit crashes. The unit must be flashed with a service firmware to gain access to the units flash drive so that the corrupted files can be replaced. Once access to the flash drive is obtained, the favorites can be backed up as well. Once the files are restored, then the unit can be flashed again with the factory standard firmware. Tip

You only got one thing right in this post. Routers and modems should be placed...

Modems/modem-routers/routers(wired & wireless) are such electronic devices which require a restart daily and a firmware update every month. These needs to be placed in a cool, dust-free area.

**Restart as in unplug the power and keep it unplugged for 15 minutes and plug the power back in.

**Firmware is a software which controls the hardware which requires re-installing of the same version or upgrading to a newer version which may contain fixes to known bugs in that model. If the firmware gets corrupted, hardware gives all sorts of trouble. These files can be found on each company's support websites.

**Placing such devices in a cool, dust-free area will avoid heating up of the device due to constant working.copy.pngfavicon.icotrans.pngcopy.pngfavicon.icotrans.png copy.pngfavicon.icotrans.png

My Garmin GPS Nuvi 1300 keeps on restarting. It boots up to the Garmin logo and just restarts afterwards. what could be the problem and how to fix it.

Hello,

The nuvi 1xxx series had a firmware issue on some of there released units, the only way to fix this is by giving the unit a firmware update using Garmins Webupdater Software. here is a link to the soft ware needed, http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp.

Hope this helps!

Motorola q randomly restarts and my text messages erase

I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q randomly restarting problem.

What has most likely happened is that the firmware of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will act erratically, freeze, or no longer finish (or even start) its boot sequence.

This is a very common situation with many phones; also with MP3 players, GPS devices and cameras.

The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash it for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.)

If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times.

My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone.

I hope that helps.

Can't Record

Try flashing the firmware. Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type in the model number (yp-mt6) click on firmware, and download the version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up first). After that its like brand new. Keep the updater handy, it might happen again.
