SOURCE: My Fujitsu (AST9LSACW ) timer
Yes two flashes is indication of temp control setting problem. But still check this too:---
This are other reasons of poor cooling:--
? Is the Air Filter dirty?
? Air the air conditioner's intake grille or outlet port blocked?
? Did you adjust the room temperature settings (thermostat) correctly?
? Is there a window or door open?
? In the case of Cooling operation, is a window allowing bright sunlight to enter? (Close the curtains.)
? In the case of Cooling operation, are there heating apparatus and
computers inside the room, or are there too many people in the
? The air conditioner power has been interrupted by a power failure. The air conditioner will then restart automatically in its previous mode when the power is restored. ? Operated by setting before the power failure. ? If a power failure occurs during TIMER operation, the timer will be reset and the unit will begin (or stop) operation at the new time setting. In the event that this (kind of timer fault occurs the TIMER Indicator Lamp will flash . ? Use of other electrical appliances (electric shaver, etc.) or nearby use of a wireless radio transmitter may cause the air conditioner to malfunction. In this event, temporarily disconnect the Power Supply Plug, reconnect it, and then use the Remote Control Unit to resume operation. ----------------- Also if your require user manual for your Fujitsu unit. Please click on the link below:-- http://www.fujitsugeneral.co.nz/scripts/get-manual.pl?manual_id=40 ------------ This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

There are two things you can check outside before calling a service technician. The first is the breaker to the outside unit. There is a breaker or disconnect near the unit. If there is nothing wrong with the electrical supply, check the refrigerant level. If the level is low, the pressure switch will cut off power to the compressor to protect it from damage. DO NOT try to recharge the compressor yourself.

Your split system is an inverter model. In it the compressor is powered not simply from the mains thru a relay but from a special and very complex set of converters: a rectifier to convert the incoming AC current to DC and then uses pulse-width modulation of the DC current within an inverter to produce AC current of a desired frequency to power the compressor.
In your case the unit that provided the final AC current to the compressor has failed. The fact this happened a few days after you have started using it is a clear indication of manufacturing defect - some of the electronic components used in that inverter were of a low quality and they haven't been able to cope with the stresses so they failed.
This is something that only the dealer (and its repair crew) can solve and it's covered by the warranty - time to call them. And in the mean time disconnect the unit from the mains.
