Through other postings on your web site I was able to determine that the return air flow vents for the refrigerator (diffuser air) was blocked due to frost. I defrosted the unit and it is working fine now.

Hi!!

You may have the temp. set TOO HIGH for the freezer, set it in #2, leave the fridge setting in the mid range for now. Check after 24hrs. and adjust as necessary.

Good Luck!!

Kenmore refrigerator w/warm frig and ok freezer

if there is a warranty it will only be for the seal system. The nois could have been from the ice maker with the plastic raped around it, but I think it could be the start device on the compressor.
Im the owner of a appliance service company and we charge $60.00 to come out and i have heard that others charge more. as far as the freezer being ok, I would put a thermomiter in their and check the temp and make sure its about 0 to 10 Deg F.

the small air flow into the freshfood area is normal.

My bet is still the start device on the compressor.

I have a frigidaire gallery series frig side by side with ice and water in door. The frig part won't stay cold. It also seems to take long time to make ice. The frig part works ok for awhile and then...

Check for two things. Look under the refrigerator and make sure the compressor fan is turning.

Second, check inside the freezer for proper operation of the fan that moves cool air throughout the freezer and refrigerator. If this fan is working, you can probably hear it. It should be behind an access plate in the freezer (near the top). Remove the plate and look at the fan. If it's not turning, you will have to replace the fan motor.

Westinghouse fridge: no cool air circulating inside

Art, I need to get a little more information from you. Does the condenser fan under the refrigerator seem to work and blowing warm air from below and or behind the refrigerator? The motor feeling warm is OK. Only when too hot to touch on top. Needs to cycle also. When you opened the freezer did you hear the fan blowing? Thanks, JT

Fridge section runs warm. Freezer ok it seems.

Sounds like the inside fan is getting worn out. Should vary in speed. Try replacing the fan and see if that fixes it. I'd bet it will. ken

Refrigerator not getting any air, (it is warm), freezer seems ok

so you mean the vents in the refer/frezer sections? yes ok there is a fan in the frezer section that moves the air thru out the box.its called the evaporator fan.you should hear a vissssss sound when you open the doors.some boxes you have to push the door switch closed with finger because fan goes off win door open.test fan with volt meter, should get 110 volts[may have to push that door switch in when testing]if voltage and not turning get new fan.hope that helps God bless ,tom

THE MAIN FRIDGE IS NOT WORKING, THE TEMPERATURE SEEMS TO BE VERY WARM. THE LIGHT INSIDE THE FRIDGE IS WORKING OK AND SO IS THE SOUNDER WHEN THE DOOR IS LEFT OPEN.

Listen for the fan that is in the freezer section. The fridge part relies on the freezer fan to get it's cold air. Only the freezer section gets cold...the fan in the freezer blows cold air through ducting to the fridge to get it cool. Either the fan is bad or the air ducting to the fridge is restricted by ice. If the airway is restricted by ice then your defrost timer is bad. Good luck.
