Question about LG WM-2077C Front Load Washer

Open Question

Need Boot gasket for wm2077cw without drain port on bottom and no ports on top Need a part number

Bought 4986ER0004f has port on bottom and think I bought 4986ER0004B had open port on bottom and 3 on top. Last part may have been mixed up and may have been another part. On inside it read 4986ER0004 No 13 and original read 4986ER0004 No 4. Think the 4F ready 4986ER0004 no 33. There are a lot to choose from and need the right one!

SOURCE: Retro-fit drain hose

hi not seen one of these retro types but having always wiped the seal and door after use as recommended with clean damp cloth prevents seal deteriation i would have thought this drain?on retro type that drains accumulation of any water from seal would be draining inside the outer drum and thro to drain into pump? seems odd?

Hi there, our dishwasher hasn't drained. we are assuming that it may have something to do with the pump. Is there anyway that we can see if it's the pump before we call someone in to look at it? Or...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. Without your model number this is a very GENERIC response. With a MAKE & Model number I could pass exact steps as to how to go about troubleshooting. Having said that here goes. You did not mention if the drain pump was running and it was not draining so for the mopment I have to assume the motor is running but the unit is not draining. Do the following steps:
1. Remove the drain hse from the sink connection and check the drain port for a clog. This is usually a garbage disposal connection but it can be a direct connection. Re-connect the drain hose after checking / clearing the drain port.
2. If you have an Air-Gap on the back of your sink or near the dishwasher, lift the cover up and off of the Air-Gap. In the very top of the Air-Gap there is a plastic threaded nut you must unscrew to gain access to the the drain plumbing in the top of the Air Gap. NOTE the installed position of the cap as it will only install one way. Remove any debris in this area. Use a wire coat hanger and a flashlight if necessary to clean the port that exits to the sink connection. The open plastic tube you will see is the connetion from the dishwasher. This should also be clear. Reassemble the Air-Gap in the same manner as dis-assembly. Reconnect any hoses if you removed any to clear drain ports.
3. Make sure power to the dishwasher is secured and remove the lower kick panel. Remove the drain hose from the pump housing and check for debris in the pump and pump port. Clear out any debris in this area.
4. Here is where not having the model number comes into focus. Without that model number the procedures for checking the tub sump and impeller are drastically different. The bottom line is the lower wash arm and support are removed.. any sump covers are removed and the screens / fins in the sump area are to be cleared of debris. Dome units the impeller is in the sump... other units the impeller is in the motor pump assembly that has a macerator before the pump inlet. If the inlet to the pump / motor is clogged it must be cleared. On units that have the motor pump assembly directly in the bottom of the unit there can be 2 levels of water flow. Upper for dishwashing and lower for draining. All passages in this area must be cleared.

Steps 1 and 2 above fix about 80% of the drainage problems. Test for drain function after steps one and two.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

I have just purchased a used LG washing machine Model number WM2277hw. The door boot or bellow needs to be replaced due to visible and SMELLY mold/mildew. What part do I need to buy to ensure that I am...

The part number for that door gasket is 4986ER0004F.

Yes, you can replace it, it is held on by a spring clamp on both the cabinet, and the tub. The spring on the cabinet can be simply removed with needle-nose pliers. The easiest way to remove the inner spring without LG's special tool, is to remove the front panel. To do this, remove the top panel by removing 2 screws on the back, and sliding the top panel back. Then the control panel needs to be remove. Remove the dispenser drawer. Remove the 2 screws that are now visible where the dispenser drawer was. Then on the opposite side, on the back of the control panel, there is one more screw. Remove this. The control panel will now come off. It will require some prying on the upper edge to snap off. Now open the washer door. Remove the 2 screws by the door lock. Now go to the bottom of the unit. Open the drain trap door with a flat-blade screwdriver. Remove the one visible screw, and then pull the plastic housing out, There should be one more screw on the bottom. Remove it. Now go back to the top of the panel, Remove the 4 screws holding it on, and the panel will now fall forward towards you. USE CAUTION! Edges are sharp! Unplug the door switch harness plug. Now you can access the rear spring ont the door gasket. It can be removed with a pair of needle-nose pliers. The gasket will just pull off... Now reverse everything, and you are done!

Replace boot gasket

Hello, Remove the door hinges and plastic covers on the unused hinge screw holes on the opposite side of the door opening (door is reversible, so there are places to mount hinges left and right). Front panel will now snap out at top and lift off lower spring clips. One screw on each side will now release top panel and it will hinge up. Prop up with broom handle or something. Now you can get at everything. Rubber gasket is held onto drum with a cable loop and very strong spring. It rolls off the lip easily to disassemble but is VERY difficult to get back on without special tools or at least two people. Door side of rubber gasket is easy in comparison with rubber tabs inserted into slots and working the gasket into a groove. Hose clamp at bottom of rubber gasket to connect drain hose.

Thanks

Replace gasket on a LG WM2077cw

can't tell you the part number but it's not to complicated. first shut off the water supply, then flush the toilet to get the water out of the tank, then remove the water supply line, then unbolt the tank from the bowl and replace the gasket. be carefull when tightening the tank back up, you want to do it evenly and only untill the tank is solid. or you can crack the tank

Can i connect a presario v3500 laptop to an external momitor. @I think the display inverter is gone and i need to get some files off the lap top for work.

Yes, connect the external monitor to the port it corresponds on the laptop, usually the blue port. When you boot the computer hit the FN key located on the bottom right hand side of your keyboard and the LCD/CRT key i believe this will be the F4 key located on the top part of your keyboard this should activate the external monitor.

We used strong vice grips and much struggling and sweat, and #@*&%!&@ and finally got it on without damage to the new gasket.
