Question about Acer ASPIRE 5720-4649 Notebook
When i tried to open it, the power LED lights, and the fan rotates but then suddenly stopped, without opening the monitor and continues that way. i've tried to connect it to a wall socket but the same problem occurs. then i tried removing the battery and connecting to a wall socket then turning it on. Then the power LED does not light and the computer is dead. it deos not turn on or shows any lights upon pressing the power button of the computer..

1. Mainboard failed
2. Vga adapter failed
I wouldnt be suprised if the vga failed, my acer broke down on me 2 times, on the 3rd time it was too much and I sold the laptop.

what repair shop does work at no cost?? ok first check the voltage from the power adapter, if you have or can borrow a test meter. i have seen these go bad and still seem to work!( incorrect amperage and- or voltage). or you simply have a failed motherboard .good luck !

Can you plug a external monitor into the machine, most laptops have that serial port. If montor comes on, you have bad display or connections, If not you have problems with laptop....Good luck

try removing the battery from the computer and turning on the computer to see if the power cord works correctly if it does inspect the battery and clean the terminals on the battery and computer and put the battery back in while it is still on now you should see the battery show up on the taskbar if not right click anywhere on the desktop and go to properties and than go to than go to screensaver than look towards the bottom and you will see power click on it and you should see the options for the battery ok sorry this was so long but i needed to explain it in full
please dont forget to rate this
