CANNOT FIND POWER FUSE ON INSIGNIA 22" LCD TV

I have no power light on TV. Got back panel off and looked for fuse. Cannot find it! I suspect fuse is problem as I have power to the TV via the power cord, but no red standby light on TV and TV will not power up. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.

Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

On LCD Pay particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem

On Plasma, test Sustain (Ysus/Zsus) / Buffer boards , cables to plasma, digital board and power board.

On Rear Projection : check lamp, lamp ballast, power board, and convergence.

On CRT TVs, check ballast , flyback transformer, CRT, Tuner, Convergence.

SOURCE: INSIGNIA LCD won't turn on

replace 2 condensers in the power supply with greater voltage ones.original are 1000uf 35volt...use 1000uf 65volt...99cents each
power circuit is made to fail with typical tv industry tactics...the warranty is reflected by the life of their condensors (capacitors) average life is 2000 hours..
easy...huh
if your a smoker...you must clean the button cover as they get stuck on with your stupid tobacco residue. 75% of all LCD tv's that smokers own fail this way...
\tough huh?

Fuse location on ns-lcd47hd-09

Most modern TV sets don't usually have a separate fuse. Most have a safety cutout (Sometimes a fuse) soldered on to the main power inlet electronic board. Its inside the TV and will require the back to be taken off it. Make sure its unplugged before you do anything!

My insignia tv will not turn on

If its total dead look for a fuse inside and if bad replace it. If any light comes on but set does not you would at the least need to open the set and inspect the power board for puffy filter caps and for voltages coming in and going out of that board.

Insignia 22" flat screen tv.

I'd guess that the surge damaged some resistors on the internal circuit board, possibly a capacitor. You may be lucky if this has an internal fuse, in which case the fuse may have blown, saving the main components. Best course of action is to take it to a TV repair shop or similar to have it checked out

My tv won't power on after lightning struck and made the power flicker. i've tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for several minutes with no luck. is there a fuse?

Check the fuses on the power board. there is one fuse on primary side and one on secondary side.
Take of back panel and follow plug into the tv.where it ends is the power board.always use caution.the capacitors in there hold high voltage even after unplugged for a couple of days.Discharge capacitors before servicing the board.

Insignia LCD TV 26"

A blown fuse is a symptom not the cause... You might take a look at the caps E919,E920,E921 (all 680uf/35v). The board can be accessed by removal of center cover w/o removal of the entire back.

Insignia HD30 TV

Take a look at D517 in the power supply for faulty solder joints. That's a common component problem in these units. Otherwise, if enough transient voltage got by to do any harm you might want to test the following: V504 = 2sa1668 R523 = 56 Ohm 1w N502 = Tlp421 optocoupler IC D509 = 1n4148 If any of this has you scratching your head it's probably shop time... Hope this helps, let me know... Bill
