Question about Televison & Video
Was using pc through tv via hdmi this morning when there was a blackout. when power was restored, there was no hdmi input through the television. have check all onscreen menus for a setting that may have been changed, but anything that looks like it may be of use doesn't work. there is nothing in the manual that covers this problem. have reset to factory default and run setup, but that doesn't work. can control devices through hdmi using the tv remote, just can't get picture and sound.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have the same problem - its a HDCP handshake issue. Sony says the firmware in the Westinghouse TV needs to be updated - Westinghouse says that they have firmware updates for some models depending on your TV's serial number, otherwise they are working on firmware updates for the rest of us that should fix the problem. Call Westinghouse to see if you can get updated.

You either have failed 24vdc power supply section or failed backlight inverter board, check for 24vdc first, look for caps with leaking/bulging top.

This is the second time I have seen this problem this week. Seems like a common issue on Vizio LCDs. Anyways the problem you mentioned indicates that the tv-micro IC has failed. THis is located on the main audo/video board and a component level repair is not possible in this case. The main A/V board has to be replaced and it should cost you around 100-125$. Would you like to do it yourself?
