Yes after to the fuse you must have a reading of 120vac if none the fuse get busted. if the 120v is present then it will goes through the rectifier bridge diode and primary capacitor of the power supply board to have an stand by voltage at the power supply board. when you press the power button it will send signal voltage coming from the main board to turn on the power supply board. the you will need to get an output voltage at the power supply board of 5v dc, 12v-16vdc and 24v to turn on the all the circuit, the main board sound amplifier and the inverter board for screen back light.if you can get those supply the tv unit will not turn on.

SOURCE: LCD TV blows fuses

Since the main fuse is being effected, it suggests that there is a major problem in the power supply section. I would be looking for a shorted rectifier diode. If you have any experience with electronics, you may be able to locate this problem. If hte set is still in warranty, return it for warranty service. If not, try loking for burned components etc.

It will only be a standard power supply fault to repair. Any good engineer, with a circuit, should be able to repair it.

Samsung Dryer Issue

Is this Dryer in the US? It sounds like it may be as you are refering to a Phase Voltage of 120 volts and a Line Voltage of 240 v.
therefore it sounds like your machine is 3 Phase and in the past you have been wired as 3 Phase and Neutral (4 Pin), it could be that your 3 pin socket at the new location is only 3 Phase ( no Neural ) in which case you may have applied twice the voltage to the control circuit which should be only 120 volts in your case, check on the PCB of the control circuit for any fuse which may have operated, otherwise there may be power supply issues due to applying over voltage in the absence of a Neutral :-(

I have GE Advantium 120 SCB1001 Microwave Oven. It is plugged in, outlet has power, but nothing comes on at all.

There are TCOs (thermal cutouts) which also can fail or blow, resulting in "no power" conditions.

All but one of them should be accessible without taking the oven from the wall.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

The full service manual is here.

You can find helpful exploded views and order GE parts here.

BUT there is one TCO which has thinner wires of a color other than black or white. This is the hood TCO and should read "open" or "infinite" which is correct.

All other TCOs should read shorted or virtually zero ohms on a continuity test, as should the fuse.

The cavity TCO is only accessible by removing the oven from the wall, then taking off its outer cover.

When taking the oven from the wall, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

RCA Projection TV : D52W27D Connector BP120 on Power Board ?

BP120 is not used in that model its simply a empty socket that board is used in other versions of the ITC222 chassis in which some use that plug . But your model doesnt use it. Check the fuse on the AC main board which is right next to where the power cord plugs into that board. If the fuse is blown its most likely the flyback and HOT which are causing the blown fuse. If the fuse is good then the deflection board will need replacement. www.tvrepairworld.com has replacement parts and circuit boards for that chassis and also free tech support is available.

Amtrol Boiler Mate WH-7P (oil). We had a power failure, and when the power came back on the water heater did not. We've checked fuses, etc., but there doesn't seem to be power to the water heater. We can't...

If you check for power at the tank, (the black and white wires) you should read voltage, either 24 vac, or 120 vac, depending on how it is wired. If there is no power there, then you will have to chase power back to where you do have it. There is no fuse or reset button on this model.

Cobra 75 wx st fuse keeps blowing. As soon as I plug the transceiver into the connector box the fuse blows.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, check the reverse protection diode, D18 (1N4004). It would be located / connected at the power board of the DC connector.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Vacuum works with the battery but does not work with 120 volt. Every time I plug it in it blows the internal fuse. I have replaced the fuse inside the vaccum several times and every time i plug it in it blows. What do you think it could be?

Had thermostates checked and still no heat

How does the dealer know if they are good? Did he come to your home to check it? and if so why did he not check for power to the element? If your heater and t-stats are good the only thing that will prevent your heater from operating is the centrifugal switch on the motor. that's provided your t-stats and heater are in fact good. And you have the full 220 volts suppy to the dryer. Keep in mind the heating element is the only thing that's runs on 220 if you only have 120 powering the unit your timer and motor will still run. you can check the power by removing the plug cover on the dryer, you will have a red, white, and black wires from white to black you will read 120, from white to red you will read 120 and from red to black you will read 220 if you don't read 220 between black and red or 120 from red or black to white you have a power issue and nothing wrong with the dryer. Good luck hope this helps you

Cobra CB Radio 148 NW ST

The first thing to do is to check if your power wire actually has power to it. Do this with a test light or a multimeter. Given that the wire is powered, check to make sure your ground is good. Modern cars have so much plastic in them that grounds may be hard to find. The next step is to check the rig's fuse. Make sure the microphone is plugged in, too. If none of this helps, your radio needs repair or replacement.

Will not turn back on

Take off back cover. The problem power board is to the right of the board where the power plug feeds into the TV. There is a large white fuse right bend the power plug. With a meter it read ok; about 8 inches deeper into the TV on that board was the resister next to two fuses. My 4 amp 125 volt fuse did not read on my meter. After replacing, it worked fine.
