Hi , you can try and pull the panel on the bottom of fireplace out and check the adapter in fireplace. Sometimes they go bad. When you open in also check to see if there is an adapter plugged in and a option to use the battery operated function. If this goes bad the pilot will not stay lit.

there is a probe that is in the one of the flame... This once heated builds up enough pressure do to the heat to keep the shut/off valve open... (reason, if the flame went out the gas would continue to flow) this "thermocouple is replaceable !! contact me at email@example.com

If the pilot gets the least bit of dust in the safety will mimmick a low oxygen situation and cause the heater to shut down. The fix is easy. You must blow out the pilot safety device. More HERE

Do you have a remote that turns the unit on and off
and has different heat settings? Could be the batteries are bad in remote
