Question about Computers & Internet
I want to change the product key for my computer. i brought a computer .but the seller enter a deference product key. but the right product key is underneath of the boe. can u help me please?
Win 7 - There is a option to change key under System Properties > Windows Activation.
It must be same version of Windows. The key and OS must match. Don't change if not.
You can obtain a free Win 7 image from Digital River. Again they must match.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: product key number
First, when the operating system was installed, the product key was installed.
To activate windows, you click activate and it should not ask for the key.
If it is only asking because to are trying to transfer files, then don't transfer them, copy then to a disk or a memory drive, flash drive and transfer them.
If the pc is activated, --you bought it new, and activated it, just because
you are trying to transfer ,it should not ask, something is wrong,
maybe the old computer has a hacked version of windows and the new windows will see this.

SOURCE: Im entering the product key
Please look carefully at the product key. It is very common for people to mix up 0 and O and 1 and 7 etc.
No offence meant, just stating a fact!
If you are still having problems, microsoft can help you.

Without a valid product key you are stuck. You would have to buy a legit copy of Office to get a product key = quite expensive !
But the good news is if you go online and download a copy of "Thunderbird" email software you can set that up and use it for free and it is VERY good.
Mind you a MUCH BETTER solution, but one that will only work if you are using an online email address, such as = Hotmail, Livemail, Yahoo, Gmail, Sky mail, Orange, TalkTalk, etc etc is to simply go to the relevant website, i.e. Sky or TalkTalk etc, as above, and find the link to the "online" email system and log into that with your user name and password. This is easier, safer and can be done from any computer in the world.
