Question about Miele Washing Machines
I have purchased a replacement valve (genuine miele part) but the electrical connections are a bit different. The failed one is the original and is 16 years old. The replacement has 5 electrical connections on the white plastic frame on which the valves are mounted. ( there are 6 on the original) However, a short cable with connectors that could fit on the pins on the valves has been supplied, could this be used to adapt to the original configuration? I may not be using the correct terms to describe these connections, I could supply photos if it would help. Was the design changed and does this cable make the necessary adaption and if so what connects to where or have I got an incorrect part. Thank you Jackie

There are two variant of this model one with normal fill hose and triple valve and one with waterproof system and triple valve. If you have change water proof hose (one with grey box on end) then it only leaves the triple valve.if waterproof hose is fitted be sure to order 110volt triple valve

The part is the water valve. Before replacing it you may want to try to apply some teflon tape on the threads, also be sure you have the rubber washers installed in the hoses.
You can replace this part yourself if needed part number is 21001932 and should run around 35$.
Be sure to unplug the washer before proceeding, and slide the washer away from the wall about 2 feet.
You will need to first pop up the top of the washer. The entire top is designed to open like the hood on a car. Between the front panel and the top about 3 inches in from the left and the right sides you will see the face of a spring clip. You need to use a putty knife to depress the clips and lift the front edge of the top. swing the top all the way up and allow it to lean against the wall behind the washer. Be sure it is tipped back enough that it is not gonna swing forward and hit you.
You will now be able to access the valve located in the back of the machine. There is usually one screw that holds the valve to the back of the machine. There will be two wire connections on the valve that need to be removed, and the hose that connects to the top of the valve.
Good luck with this!
