Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
It may be linked to the software that came with you machine, say Cyber link, for instance on some HP machines, the "open" is set to start with windows. There are a couple of ways to disable 1) open Task Manager and search for the cam software that's open. 2) run MSCONFIG and disable webcam software at windows start. 3) There is a good little program CCLEANER you can find it here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/. CCLEANER is a cleaner to remove junk files that clutter your system, a registry cleaner, in TOOLS> STARTUP you can disable (not delete) unwanted start up programs not needed in startup, you must decide which to disable, you will most likely find the webcam soft ware here. CCLEANER does other tasks , learn it and use it often to clean the "garbage" from you machine and free up disk space. If you find this usefull mark the solution box.
