Tv light blinks on and off while making clicking sound. Need to replace power supply board but want to try and do it myself. Cant afford to pay a repairman to do it. Where can I find the board and any info on replacing it. Thanks in advance.
Thank you very much for all the information you gave me. You saved me a fortune. I opened the back of the tv and found the power supply board. Found 4 capacitors blown, replaced them with radio shack capacitors and the tv works great. It cost me under $7. Thanks again for all your help.Jaime,

We were watching a movie, all of a sudden a low intensity sound of blast came from the tv and it shut down immediately.I took out the plug and switched on the tv after some time but it didn't turn on. There was a continuous clicking sound but tv wasn't turning on. Showed it to a technician, he says stand by power supply is the cause and the power supply board needs to be replacedWe were watching a movie, all of a sudden a low intensity sound of blast came from the tv and it shut down immediately.I took out the plug and switched on the tv after some time but it didn't turn on. The replacement of the power supply is quite easy. You will have to remove the base if applicable and the back cover, once you remove it; you should see the power supply. Click here to see how the power supply looks like and availability or Click here to find a cheaper one.
I can also repair your power supply. If you need further assistance you can write to [email protected]

This is a comon problem with the Samsung LCD HDTV on the Power Board.
You can repair or replace faulty parts on PS board.
When checking the capacitors, If they are slightly rounded on the top where the X is, the cap is defective. See the Youtube below.
Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors, three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of problems with these caps on http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off , I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v. They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now. Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between $100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or getting the unit serviced. If you are not comfortable replacing components which means using a soldering iron, you can replace the power circuit board, available from www.Samsung.PartStore.com.

Most likely this set has an "integrated" inverter, as most samsungs do--and this DOES sound like an inverter problem. Make SURE thought, there are no more bad "10 volt" caps on the power supply...ALL of them need to be replaced no matter HOW they look.
I had the same problem. I work for a mother board manufacturer w/offices in New Jersey and brought mine into our engineering lab after Samsung told me tough luck. Anyway, one of my engineers fixed it in 10 minutes. Essentially, he replaced the 1000uF capacitors on the power supply board with 2 cent capacitors instead of the 1 cent capacitors that had blown out on the CHEAP SAMSUNG POWER SUPPLY BOARD. You can tell the caps are blown via visual inspection. The top of the cap should be perfectly flat and a blown cap will be convex on top. Unfortunately, there are also 2500 uF caps by the same cheap manufacturer on the board as well and we don't stock that value for our products. According to my engineer, those will most likely blow next since he replaced the others with better caps, but I'm getting samples of those and will replace them shortly. After that this piece of **** should last me at least another 2 yrs! It's been working for about a week now w/no problems. Hope this helps.
