Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

Component blown up from the electronic washing machine control card.

The whasing machine only gets water for about 30 seconds. Then stops and the program light starts to blink (as when the program is finish). After exhaustive checking of other posible sources of the problem, I've found that the electronic control card has a missing component like if it is blown away due to some overcharge or whatever. The component has to be a capacitor, as the "C" is what the card shows in its position ("C7"). The card has these indications on the front part: ST-01 94V-0 E310229 and these others on the back side: MINIQCP E www.elmarc.com 120400063 Any idea how I can identify the capacitor in order to replace it?

In this image you can see the zone that is affected. On the left upper corner there is an ampliation of the zone. I can see a piece of the printed circuit track that is burned. Beside it there is an insertion hole (for a missed capacitor) that is also affected. After taken this photo I doubt there was that capacitor originally (though the "C7" is serigraphed). Now I'll try to weld a wire from one clean part of the track to the other clean part (it's by one diode). You can download the image and have a close look because it has quite good resolution.

After repairing the track with a bridge (wire) I tried it intalled but the washer didn't work (same sympthoms). Next step: change the two electrolitic capacitors in the upper side of the image, because the big resistor between them looks 'dirty'. It could be due to the leaking of liquid/gases from some of both capacitors. That's the main reason to replace them.

After replacing the 2 capacitors, the washer won't work. The only thing that I can check before order another electronic control card is the motor.

After replacing them, the problem remains. Next stage: check the motor. If it works properly, I'll order a new electronic control card via internet.

SOURCE: LG WM2355C water leaking under machine after washing finished.

I had this same problem and it was not the supply connections or filters! Under the machine is a rubber bellows. The bellows had sprung a leak. The part was about $10 from Sears and I repaired it in about 30 minutes. The machine is heavy so be careful. Get a friend to make sure the machine won't rock or tip when you're making the repair.

SOURCE: I have a Zanussi ZWF12070W1 washing machine. It's

Hello,

Hope I can help. When you press the start button is there a buzzing coming from down by the filter if so Check that there is not something stuck in the filter. You will have to be careful depending on how much water is left in the drum so put some towels down and undo filter slowly or get the machine near a door then release filter out onto a door step.when drained shine a torch up inside filter and see if the little plastic blade on pump can turn but do not try and force it,if you do find anything in there then try it again and check the pockets. If there is still a fault you will have to call out your Engineer.

Good Luck

What can I do to get dialed numbers from my tracfone that no longer work?

It is highly doubtful that you will be able to retrieve anything from your phone. Once the electronics are shorted out by water with the battery installed all data and circuitry become unaccessible in almost all cases. You might try your cellular carrier, but once again the chances are next to nothing.

Washing maching maytag dependable care

It sounds as if there could be an overheating problem in the control electronics - perhaps just due to one faulty component that could be replaced, perhaps the whole board is faulty. If you have a user manual (sorry i had no luck finding one online), then just check if there is a "reset" - usually would be either unplugging the machine and leaving it for a few minutes, or pressing and holding a combination of buttons. (ask again if you don't have a manual, I can look more but Maytag manuals are hard to find) Are you keen to try and investigate this further yourself? If so please ask again and we can try and talk you through opening it up and what to check. You will most likely need a selection of screwdrivers, a flashlight, a digital camera and a few hours. If you would rather get a service agent in to have a look, please post back with your general area and we can hopefully locate one for you. It sounds repairable. Hope this helps :)

Have a kenmore elite he3 which stops the cycle w/ 40 min. remaining and flashes back and forth the 2 initials ''F'' and ''H'' on the screen. Don't have a manual to check

If the control has turned on the fill valve and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water and not detected a pressure switch trip, the valve will be turned off and the failure code will flash in the display.
  1. Unplug the washer from its electrical source and wait for 30 seconds.
  2. Replug the cord into the electrical source and try to start a normal cycle or a cancel drain cycle.
  3. The machine should start the pump out mode and empty the water.
If, after 30 second, the machine has not detected water entering into the machine, the valves will be shut off and the failure code of FH will be displayed.
  1. Check all hose connection and valves, both hot and cold, are turned on completely.
  2. Verify that water is at the fill hose connections at the back of the washer.
The main control has sensed a component failure in the machine and will be needing a diagnostic visit for a possible repair or replacement.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
check the fill hose screens or you my have to repalce water valve make sure water is turned on....

Will not Fill

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THOSE TWO ITEMS THAT WERE REPLACED SHOULD HAVE RECTIFIED THE PROBLEM.ONE NEEDS TO KNOW IF THE BOARD THAT IT WAS TESTED WAS IN EFFECT A NEW ONE OR NOT. IF IT WAS I WOULD SUGGEST DISCONNECTING ONE HEATER WIRE (IF HEATER IS USED) THEN PULLING THE PR.SWITCH PIPE OFF FROM THE TUB AND SUCKING A VACUME ON THE PIPE. THIS WILL INDICATE A LOW LEVEL CONDITION AND ASK FOR MORE WATER.IF FILLING TIME IS THEN RUNS FOR A LONGER PERIOD, THEN THE PROBLEM IS WITH A DEFECTIVE PR.SWITCH. HOPE I HELPED?
