Question about SanDisk Sansa m240 MP3 Player
I have a Sansa M240 mp3 player. My son gave me this player and put some songs on it; I want to delete them, but they do not show up on the computer when I connect the player. I have already transferred songs of my own & those show up okay and I can delete them if I want. No matter what I do, though, even through Windows Explorer, it does not show all the songs. But when I use the player, those songs (the ones that were put on before I got the player) are there & play, but I cannot delete them.
The Sansa M200 series devices do not allow deletion of downloaded content directly from the device. You must connect he device to PC/Mac via USB to delete downloaded content. You will also need to use media software such as Windows Media Player, Rhapsody, iTunes, etc.. to see all of the music content on the player to be able to delete the songs you don't want. (i.e. just viewing the device in Windows Explorer might not show everything that is on he player.)
