Question about Xerox Phaser 6125 Laser Printer

Xerox Phaser 6125 prints pink

Whenever I attempt to print a color photo, the printer prints light pink through the photo and down the entire page. I am using a brand new toner cartridge, which works fine on another Phaser 6125 that I have. How can I fix this?

What can be the cause that all printed pages have a pale pink background printed from edge to edge, and how is it solved.

Could be a bend or bad contact, check to make sure that all the metal contacts that touch the cartridge are in good shape. You could also have a clogged waste toner bin on the printer. Or possibly a bad high voltage power supply.

What can be the cause for the complete page background being printed pale pink, including the Xerox own test page.

Hi,
If it is a genuine magenta cartridge then try a drum refresh...

On the control panel of the printer: start the menu
Choose Admin Menu \ Maintenance Mode \ Drum Refresh

Once it has finished turn it off and on again and see how it goes. You may have a faulty drum though or even a faulty transfer belt.
All the best!

Every printed page has a pale pink background from edge to edge

Hi again Jan,
It is possible that your drum but to be sure, get a trained Xerox Technician to check it out...

There is still a possibility that it is something else entirely, so getting a technician out would be the best bet... Sorry I couldn't give more of a definitive answer. Sometimes things need to be seen in real life to diagnose properly.

Xerox 6350 pages all come out pink

Had a Dell do something similar. Never did find out what the problem was, just would come and go. I'd try pulling out all removable parts (toners, drums, fuser (after it cools), etc, then reseat it all. Or sned back for warranty if possible.

Our phaser 6125 is making a lot of noises when it is printing. Any suggestions?

Open the front tray of the printer and check if something is broken. If there is, ask yourself if you can fix it, if not, send it to Xerox support.

Phaser 6125 does a lot of noise in all the prints. Are you sure its not the normal noise?

Solution : Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages and Make Sure the Colors Are Accurate CAUTION: Use of inks other than Genuine Xerox Solid Ink may affect print quality and printer reliability. It is the only ink designed and manufactured under strict quality controls by Xerox for specific use with this printer. The Xerox Warranty, Service Agreements, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for this printer.
To print the Troubleshooting Print Quality pages:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button to print the test pages.
  4. Go through the pages and find the Light Stripes Test page.

For each color, remove an unused solid ink stick from the printer, and then use the ink stick to make a mark of color next to the corresponding color on the printed page. If the colors do not closely match, that color will need to be purged from the print head. Continue with step 6 if the colors do not closely match.
  5. NOTE: If the colors do closely match, the problem is not related to the printer's hardware. There is no hardware adjustment available on the Control Panel for calibrating individual colors.

  6. Create a document consisting of a full page (100% fill) of the color not printing correctly, or download and use one of the resource files provided in the table below. For example, if cyan ink is actually printing black, create a document that is a solid fill of cyan, or download and open the Cyan fill page provided in the table below.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to set the Print Quality mode in the print driver to "Standard" and the TekColor Correction to "None" before performing the next step. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

  7. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the document, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.
IF THAT DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM TRY THIS: http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=156,E=0000000002703198886,K=8233,Sxi=10,Solution=obj(964)

Printer is printing the black color as light grey. Toner is already exchanged.

When you print something from a website and the print box comes up, click on preferences tab, and when it comes up click on color . Then click on print in grayscale and change the setting from High Quality to Black ink only, click apply at the bottom, then OK. It should print in black ink.

All you need to do is open the "properties" link, then set the print to black & white. It then doesn't matter what you have left in the other cartridges
