Question about Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
Sounds like the motor maybe clogged and over heating. if you can take apart the vacuum and find the motor. if you have a shop vac use that to clean out the dust and debris. put it back together and try it again. if this doesn't work i would replace the vacuum or get it repaired. i would NOT continue to run the vacuum if the plug gets hot after 3 minutes.

If something becomes lodged in the foot and the
brush shuts off, turn the cleaner off and unplug
from the outlet. Remove the obstruction. The
brush will automatically reset when the cleaner
is plugged in and turned back on.
Additionally, you could have dirty filters that are activating a thermal protector switch that shuts the vacuum off if the motor becomes too hot. If this is the case unplug the vacuum, clean any filters, clogs, or obstructions and wait 30 minutes for the unit to cool. Then plug the unit in and it should work. I hope this helps.
