Have your battery tested or first clean the terminals and cables. Check the ground cables, not just the one on the battery but frm engine to body etc etc.

SOURCE: 2002grand am daytime running lights

99 - 04 grand am.

I had the "service vehicle soon" light come twice with in 1 year. First the heald light bulbs were gone. Replaced the head light bulbs and after 2 starts the "service vehicle soon" light was gone.

The second time the DRL - #194 amber bulbs were gone. Replaced these and the "service vehicle soon" light was gone after 2 starts. The DRLs are housed in the headlamp housing, the tiny bulbs beside the head light.

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP / Multi-function Switch

i have the sameproblem. Dealer part was quoted to me at $510.00. All after market parts stores were $350- 450. Try moving the emerg. flasher button while you step on the brakes and someone else watches the lights. I jammed paper beside the button and they work until I can fix it.I had to order the multi-function switch. and you have to pull the air bags to replace it.

I have a 2003 chev silverado. The fuel gauge quit working then started working again on an off. Then my radio would go out and the fuel gauge would start working. Now my AC is not working. It's like...

It may seem like the problems are related, but they most likely are not at all, unless it's an actual battery power issue. Your fuel gauge consists of 2 parts and wires to connect them, the sending unit, which is in the gas tank connected to your fuel pump on your truck I believe, and the gauge itself inside your dash. It is most likely your sending unit/fuel pump which sucks cause that's like $350, altho easy enough to replace yourself with very little gas in the tank. As for the radio check fuses, and AC I have no idea...

This really an emergency I don't have money to fix my car right now. My car on the way to work started acting unusual. The dash lights stayed on while my gauges gave no readings and my radio completely...

The first thing you can do it to CHECK THE TERMINALS OF THE BATTERY< CHECK THE GROUDN CONNECTIONS TO THE CHASSIS.
If this seems corroded then clean and reset the terminals.
Secondly check the ECU, if the car seems to experience problems in the engine you must check the errror codes.
Finally the fuse box, relay box and the dash cluster must be checked for loose connection.

HELP!! Having electrical issues with my 2005 Pontiac

electical is hard to diagnose with out being there. i would treat each problem seperately. first you will need to test the engine temp gauge sending unit. in a dealership this is easy with a scanner they can run a sweep test to se if the gauges are responding.you don't want the engine to over heat if the gauge is not working. next problem the dome light should be easy to fixe does the dome light work with the dome switch?remove the bulb and with the doors open and switch on check for voltage, if voltage check connection and or replace bulb. if no voltage check fuses for voltage.last will need to have the dtc po243 checked out by a repair shop. i hope this will help.

Fuel gauge erratic

Yes the tank has to come out. It really doesn't require any special tools. You should have everything you need at the ag dealer. Try to get as much fuel out of the tank before you start so it is easier to work with.
