Performing a product reset To reset your system, follow these steps:

  2. Unplug the Acoustimass® module power cord from the power outlet
  3. Wait 60 seconds
  4. Plug the Acoustimass module power cord into a working power outlet

There is one or two fuses inside the unit. Open the unit very carefully, look for the fuses; they are usually located near where the power cord enters the unit. Get the same fuses. If this keeps happening, then it needs to be serviced.

Red light is on in the back of my t300 tower speakers

That is the standby mode but if its not kicking out of standby mode it could be a fuse issue

The T300 uses a 2.5A fuse.

To replace the fuse:

1. Unplug the AC cord from the AC power source,

then remove the AC power cord from the speaker's

power connector.

2. Remove the fuse cap with a small, flat blade screwdriver

(see diagram 2).

3. Remove the fuse from the fuse cap

(see diagram 3).

4. Replace the fuse inside fuse cap with another metric

5X20mm size fuse

5. Replace the fuse inside the cap, replace the fuse

and cap in the power connector (see diagram 5).

6. Connect the AC power cord to the speaker and

raise it upright.
7. Connect the power cord to an AC power outlet

The home theather just stop working in the middle of a movie

Hello Sounds like the power board has blown. If you want you could take the cover off and look to see if there is a glass fuse it would be near were the power cord attaches to the circuit board. See if it is blown, if so replace, you may have had a weak fuse. But more than likely you have a defective power board, and the system will need to be service, or more economically replaced.

RCA RT2870 home theater system 'welcome' screen

Well, I just returned the unit. RCA replied with the following solution:
Let the unit sit with the AC power cord out of the wall for a couple of
hours. Then hit the power button 10-15 times (with the AC power cord still
out of the wall socket!) and then try again.

Disc is stuck in machine

When the try is stuck:

On a Lifestyle system with a tray that won't open, try this:

  1. Turn off the power.
  2. Unplug the power cord.
  3. Wait at least 5 minutes.
  4. Plug the power cord back in.
  6. Hit the Open/Close button.
This worked perfectly for me!

No power!

okay, this seems like either the fuse hase blown in the actual mains plug, or the mass fuse inside the device, it looks like this very small glass fuse, same size as an ordinary fuse, its just seethrough. see if you can get a replacement for it, you may need 2 open the unit to check if it has blown, it will be black or a "burnt" colour from inside! if you dont want to open it, take it to any electronics store, they are bound to check for you, but these fuses don't cost more that $1 or 50pence!

hope this helps

No power

I have a TH-C30. I had the same problem where the unit just stopped working - no standby light and no recognition of power at all. After checking this forum and another, I opened the unit, found the ceramic fuse where the power comes in and went to Radio Shack. They have a T1AL250V fuse pack that is a 1 amp, 250 volt, 5 X 20 mm SLOW BLOW glass fuse which is a better fuse for this common problem. Their RS number is 270-1063 and a pack of 4 costs about $3. Put new fuse in and the problem was solved.

The repair took minutes - 3 screws on the back and two screws on each side. Lift the cover from the back (it is slip-hinged on the front) and replace the ceramic fuse. It slips out with a little help and the new one snaps in place.
