Question about Capresso Jura-13187 Impressa E8 Super-Automatic Espresso Machine Blac

How do you actually remove the spout on a Jura E8 to clean clog?

Sometimes one spout will only drip when brewing. I've pushed a clip and jiggled spout and can usually get the water flow back. Is there a way to remove the spout to give the spouts a good cleaning. If yes, I need step by step insturctions. I see small particles of coffee grounds coming out of spout when cleaning so I'm sure there are more waiting to clog spout. Thank you

GENTLY GENTLY GENTLY

There are two parts: You will see the top part is fixed - it does not move. Remove it first, placing fingers behind the top of the piece, and gently it toward you. It will pop loose toward you - but not off. To remove completely, simple move the top half straight up, and it will release completely.

The bottom part of the spout is trickier, but equally easy once you know how it is fastened. Exam the bottom half. See how it is fastened by sliding on rails. Facing this piece, gently push leftward on the right side of the spout. The spout is flexible, and it will bow outward enough that the right side will come off its rail, enabling you to gently pull that side out. The left side will then come off as well.

Now you can clean out all the nasty.

Reverse these steps to put it back together.

Water leaking not just comming out of spout

Sounds like your water outlet is clogged. Open the head and push up the cup holder to remove. When out, clean out the tube at the bottom of the holder with a paper clip or something similar (I use a cake tester - long skinny metal rod. This will clean out any clogs in the output path. Also remove the bottom part of the cup holder and clean it too. Put back together and place back in brew head the way it came out. (Caution - some models you have to twist the cup holder to remove, and some it just comes straight out). There are many you-tube videos that will show you this also.

Not dripping coffee on one side

That hole might be blocked, Try removing the spout and checking for obstructions. It is possible that coffee oils have clogged that side of the spout.

As the coffee is dispensed, it is normal to have some residue left in the tubing and spouts. It is the reason that the machine will require cleaning on a regular basis using the Jura tablets that dissolves the coffee film. In the case the spouts get clogged, the best approach would be to dismantle the spout assembly. Since it may not always be possible, I found that filling a cup with a coffee cleaning solution such as Puly Cleaner (pulycleaner.co.uk) and having the spout dip in the solution overnight can help. Probably that dissolving a Jura cleaning tablet in a cup of warm water would provide similar cleaning power.
Dismantling the spout is rather straightforward. You start with removing the front logo by rotating it counter-clockwise. Behind it you will find a T15 Torx screw. Removing it will allow removal of spout cover by pulling the top part lightly towards you and then sliding it down below the spouts. Grab the spouts by the sides and wiggle downwards until it comes loose. You can now clean the spouts but will most likely need to soak it. Jura Capresso E8 keeps getting error code 8 over and over. I will clean, remove grounds etc, it will make a few espressos, then back to the error code. I can hear it struggling.

One of the problems that I see with these units is the Grinder setting. Sometimes the grinder is set too fine for Dark and Oily beans. This setting will ( can) clog up the brew screen after less than 10 cups are brewed. Also, running the cleaning tablets through to create a clean starting point may help you. Try turning the grinder to a slightly coarser setting and try that.

The coffee started coming out the brew spouts to the right and left and some coffee comes out in the center. i have cleaned and descaled the machine but that has not helped

I had this same problem and called Jura Capresso. They had me straighten out a paper clip and stick it up each spout as far as I could and jiggle it around (after bringing the panel with the spouts down as far as possible) Then they said to **** the panel containing the spouts up and down several times and then press the rinse button. Repeat this process several times. That did the trick for me. They said sometimes the spouts get clogged and just need to be cleared.

I have an Jura E85 that is taking a long time to produce coffee. It comes out in a small trickle... I think it's producing the right amount, just taking a long, long time doing it... Also when trying to...

The sieve in the brewing unit is clogged. There`s no options; You have to take the brew unit appart, clean everything including behind the sieve, change the 2 o-rings and put it all together. This is rather complicated if you`ve never done it before, so i recommend you take the machine to a servicedealer for this operation.

However, try to use your finger and clean out all the grounds from the brewing unit. Just take out the tray, put your finger up between the 2 flaps inside the brewing unit, you will now feel the sieve that`s causing all the trouble. You could be lucky that the sieve is clogged only on the outside. Good luck!

Jura Impresso E9 not dripping through spouts but into drip tray

This is most likely due to a bad o'ring. The bar you speak of...Does the unit have a small spout pointing upward from the area?...with a groove? Is the o'ring in that groove damaged or missing? When the grounds are compressed in the piston, the brew unit lowers down onto this spout and seals on it. The high pressure water then is injected upward inot the brew unit. When this seal fails the water simply leaks into the tray when there are grounds providing backpressure. When rinsing and no backpressure some of the water may be getting through. Make sure you lube up any seals with a food grade lube. Olive oil will work in a pinch.

Did it work before this?
Sometimes hard water can build up and cause blockages.
Try mixing hot water and white vinegar (50/50 mix) and try running it through the machine. If this works, run it through a few more times than run cold water through a couple times to get rid of the vinegar.
Good Luck.
