SOURCE: samsung s42sd-yb05clicking and no power

i dont think it as an IC problem... it must be a short circuit occuring somehwere in the board.. and this is ticking is from relay which protects the circuit from the shorting..

so look out where is that bad portion of shorting.. if u r able to isolate it then i think u will get it fixed..

SOURCE: Lg Plasma Display settings keep switching

When you boot up your tv for the first time, you get to choose between home and shop-mode.
In your case, he TV is set to "shop-mode".
Then it will go back to factory settings after 5-10 minutes. (so that customers won't mess up the settings all the time)

So change the settings from shop to home, and your problem is fixed!

Samsung TV shutting off by itself and relays clicking

If you don't know what you're doing, don't open it up to fix it!
There are HAZARDOUS voltages on the power supply board EVEN WITH THE TV UNPLUGGED!!! The capacitors can hold a charge for several weeks!

Clicking noise can be coming from bad capacitors on the power supply board.

It's usually easier to just replace the power supply board.

The 130 volts relay is not clicking, the 15 volts line is reading 12,93 volts and the base of q805 the relay driver is reading .54 volts and at the colector is reading 12.93 volts. ...

Hello
If the all said voltages are there and still the relay doesn't work check the transistor drive it and the relay itsef. Relays will have the voltage and its coil resistance marked on it. Check it coil resistance and be sure it comes to the marked Ohms. If has the proper Ohm resistance, check the transitor drives the relay for open [usually collector to emitter]. If the transistor used there is a PNP type, coltage at its base should be low, and if its an NPN type the voltage should be high inorder to drive the relay.
Check whether the base voltage of the said transistr varies, that is going up and down, during the power on and off switch on the remote control If there is no volgage change, the voltage remains constant all the time, check the power on off voltage chage at the respective pin in the system control Ic. If there is voltage changes and there is no voltage changes in the transitor said. means there are some trouble between the path, and check whether other drive transistors are used in between them. If so check it too. Ok.

15 minutes is a reasonable time for a low cost RC boat. Is it cutting out because of low battery voltage?

Power switch wont turn on,keeps clicking

The fault is not a relay, the clicking sound is just the protection circuit that prevents the TV from starting because a fault had been detected.

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Frigidaire side by side

My first thought is a compressor not running from your description of the clicking.

Compressor problems can be:

Could be a Relay, stiff compressor/motor assembly, low voltage, run, or start capacitor if so equipped.

You will need a voltage (amp meter would help) meter to check the voltage (amp draw) at start up on the compressor to determine if you are making headway on finding the cause.

You will have to verify the voltage for sure and during start up 1st unplug the refrigerator let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. 1st During this time check the voltage at the wall plug. 2nd AT the compressor relay (2 wires to the compressor) when it first try's to start meaning while someone plugs it in. The reading can be up to 10% lower during this time. continue to watch the volts as it runs until it clicks again and cuts off. The voltage then should return to where it was at the plug-in. If not We now have a problem outside the compressor area. If so we are on the right path.

A replacement relay and overload (with the run and or start capacitor if equipped) replaced as a whole at the same time will either confirm its one of these components. With them replaced and correct voltage range during start of the compressor it will either work or your compressor is out.

in fact only turned over once befors starter was clicking away. Pushed it home tried again - nothing. Put battery on charger - charged up in 15 minutes - tried to start - engine turned over couple of times then click click click at starter been out this morning checked all connections and earths - charged battery up - read 13.22v when full charge light came on, tried to start up - turned over several times, getting slowwr then click click. Checked battery reading 12.17v Any suggestions - is it the battery or what else?,The fact that the voltage drops as the revs increase is very odd. However, the dash voltmeter which I assume you are using is often inaccurate. Try an alternative battery, at least to see if it starts. You could use a car battery with jump leads. With a decent battery the charging might improve too.,,,
