Sound is actually from computer. Make sure you have sound there first. Then establish what file form you want hear on browser, and make sure you have correct add-on or codec.

There are times when I get sent automatically to a browser which is not working for one reason or another. How do I extricate myself from this particular procedure?

It sounds like the browser you get sent to is your default browser, likely Internet Explorer (blech) or Safari. Go into the settings of whichever browser you want to have as your main browser, and find the section that lets you make that your default browser.

How do I get my husband on his own acct on facebook using my old computer

Sounds like you had your browser save passwords, so you 1st need to remove saved passwords. Each browser is different, so search the help for your browser & it will guide you.
Then, assuming he has his own account, he logs in using his name / password; whether he has browser save it or not is up to him. I strongly recommend against having browsers save password, too easy to hack.

Don t know what I did,but cannot see any images on facebook, just comm

sounds like a browser issue. download a different browser such as firefox or chrome and see if it works. if so, it is a browser setting. use the help section of your browser to restore defaults.

Volume on Acer Aspire 5735 is broken.

The two situations you mention above are both websites so it suggests the problem you are having is when you are browsing. You may have accidentally changed your browser's settings to mute sound.

Have you checked your browser's settings? Have you attempted to open the sites in another browser? Firefox, for instance, if you are having the problems in Internet Explorer. Uninstall and reinstall the effected browser software?

If sound is working everywhere else but not when you browse the internet these are probably the best ways to get at the cause of your problem.

No sound on the internet

You haven't given much to go on here but I'll take a guess. Sounds like you're saying you have no sound from websites when using your browser, but can hear sound from other sources (mp3s, videos, etc. on your computer). Assuming you are using Windows Vista, open your browser (Internet explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome...whatever you use to get onto the internet) then right click on the volume icon in the taskbar (on the bottom right of the screen, next to the clock) and select "Open Volume Mixer". This will show you the programs that are running and how loud their volume will play. Find your browser in this list and turn up the volume by moving the little slider below it (up=loud, down=quiet). Hope this helps.

I can't hear sounds from my internet browser.

Have you just tried reopening the browser? I get this problem with FF and Opera. Closing/reopening usually solves. Or try updating the browser.

Dell Inspiron E1505 no sound in web browser

I must tell you that this is not an issue with the drivers or the web browser or the computer. This could be possible that volume button on the video while on web browser is mute or lowered....

Please check.....

However you can try to watch the same video online on other computer, just to isolate the issue....
