Question about Whirlpool Gold Black-on-Black 25.4 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator w / Accu-Chill Temperature Control System GD5SHGXLB
The Ice Dispenser continuously clogs / jams up with frozen Ice. I always run cubes daily, but this does not help. Have had 3 service calls and a 4th is scheduled. The same thing happens with my model, it won't make ice any longer
The front cover is snapped on. There should be two slots in the bottom of the cover. Put a wide screw driver in the slots one at a time and pry out. It snaps off very hard.

I would contact Hotpoint direct for this one. It sounds like a design fault to me.
What I think may be going on is that the cubes are melting too much, then refreezing lower down.
Set your freezer to -18, and the fridge to +2 and see if that changes things any.
Check seals in that area. Where is the moisture coming from to generate the frosting? - Is the location high in humidity?

That means that the evaporator fan system that releases the the ice cubes is not working as it should.
The heater, or evaporator fan and heating system must be checked, and fan, or solenoid, or element must be replaced.
Use the number listed on the owner manual if you want to call a technician.
Enter model number on this website to find schematics and replacement parts.

I hate to ask the obvious but is your water supply turned back on since the filter change?
