Crosley heavy duty giant capacity plus auto dry control wont dry

Warmed up at first but will not dry my mothers clothes. Please help her, she can't find the model number and the only electric dryer product option is listed below. If it is the heating coil? can you tell us where to find another one and if able to fix ourselves?? Please send response to both emails so my little brother may assist my mother if I am unable. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Get putty knife and start by popping the top then take the front off and check the heater mounted on the rear bulkhead.

Why isn't My Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Soft Heat Extra Capacity Electric Dryer drying clothes on any one cycle?

One possibility: Air flow! Make sure that the lint trap is cleaned before each cycle. You likely need to thoroughly clean out the vent piping out the back of the machine- a buildup of lint in here can also restrict airflow.

It takes at least 2 cycles to dry clothes. It is Roper heavy duty high capacity electric dryer. Thank you for any help you can give me. janebellard@yahoo.com

Check for air restrictions which cause the heat control to shut down faster than normal.
When the moisture cannot be removed fast enough the heat builds up and has nowhere to go so the heat control stays off longer and the clothes just tumble on.

We took our heating element out of our dryer and didn't mark the wires. Is there somewhere I can download a map of where the wires go? It's a Crosley heavy duty giant capacity.

How many wires do you have? If only two, the heater element doesn't care which wire is attached since it is being fed with AC current there is no polarity to it.

Does not dry clothes

If its not heating up correctly you could have a bad thermostat, blocked up vent or dirty lint screen, or possible the coils that go near the ignitor need replacing.

My whirlpool duet dryer is only 4 years old and it does not dry the clothes completely, even when it is on Heavy Duty. Only way it dries the clothes is if I run it through 2 cycles.

Check to see that the lint filter and exhaust duct are clear all the way to the outlet. If the moist hot air is not being exhausted the clothes will not dry. If the vent path is clear and you are using auto-dry the sensor may be at fault.
