    The information given was in accurate. I went to all the places suggested.

    Circuit City said they have not handled this power suppy cord in quit sometime, they handle mainly standard power supply cords.

    I even went to Comp USA.

    I Am Sorry I Was Unclear I Didn't Realize You Wanted The Actual Plug Made For It As A Standard 12Vdc 4.0Amp AC/DC power adapter From An Electronic Store Would Work Just Fine I'm Not Surprised The People At The Computer Didn't Give You This Info.

    Otherwise If You Want The Exact Plug That Was Provided With This Monitor When They Came Out They Can Be Purchased Online And I Will Give You The Link. Once Again I'm Sorry For The Inconvenience And Thank You For Using Fixya.com

It may be that your video card is too old, that probably is the problem since you are running Windows 2k. If not open up your monitor's menu and see if you can manually change the monitor's resolution. Newer monitors do that.

Looking for the three cables needed for a 17" KOGI L7CH LCD monitor. Where can I find these, please.

You need a signal cable, an audio cable and the power adapter. The first two are standard cables available at any retailer of computers and monitors or online. The signal cable is the type that has 15-pin "D-sub" connectors on each end. The audio cable will have a mini-stereo plug on each end. The power adapter is available from several online sources. There's an eBay auction currently running for the adapter you need.

My Kogi 17 inch monitor illuminates for 2 seconds and then the light goes out. The monitor is still on but hard to see. Each time you power cycle the monitor, the display appears normal for exactly 2...

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, lets try determining which is at fault.
  • power supply (unlikely) - the unit powers up, even after the display going off, the monitor is till on;
  • LCD screen (possibly) - will have to be determined later;
  • CCF Lamps (backlights) and/or inverter (most likely) - a check; power on the unit, run through the routine, change channels etc. with a flashlight shine obliquely against the screen. If with the use of the flashlight a darker semblance of the desktop could be seen, then you have just confirmed that it is either the CCFL or the inverter and definitely not the LCD screen.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

I need a power supply for my Kogi L7EH-TA monitor

I would not recommend this because my monitor will probably burn up from doing this but; I just lost my power supply last night and I took a power cord from my seagate external 500 GB hard drive which has the same pin size plug in that goes into the monitor and plugged it directly into the wall. I assume that the external hard drive uses the same ac to dc converter although it looks just like a cord with no inverter capabilies. Not sure of the amps though and this could burn up the monitor completely. Works for now.
