Whirlpool Generation 20004 Oven Model G2P62F

Help please! I went to switch on the oven tonight but no display - then I switched it off at plug and on again (troubleshoot in manual!!!) light came on oven came on and went off again - tried it on grill setting and same thing happened - now have no display but it did come on again earlier and read "Stop" on display but seems to come on and fan works for short time and light inside is on but it then all goes off again!!!!!

I have viewed this site and I think it points to thermal fuse problem but not sure where to locate this as oven is built in - have undone panel at back where fan is housed and nothing in there? Any ideas, please would really be grateful!

Regards,

SOURCE: Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.

SOURCE: Whirlpool GBD307PDS Electric Double Oven

I fixed my problem by disconnecting the control board, cleaning all the contact points (including the ribbon cable) with alcohol and reconnecting everything as tight as possible.
I did notice that one of the contacts had become very corroded, so I scrubbed this one for a while. Prior to this I had done some selective unplugging and replugging (ribbon cable in particular) to no avail (each of these attempts powered on to beeping and no display).
Not a fancy solution, but it did work!

If the fan is still working ,then you need a new oven element fitting, it will have blown, there by causing trip to operate.
Plz rate this solution .

For some reason I get the same error code every time we have a power outage. If you push and hold the "lower off" button for about ten or 15 seconds it will unlock and reset. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: E2 F6 ??? What the? Oven came with house, no manual.

Your oven temperature sensor has failed(e-2) as well as your electronic control board(f-6). The oven temp sensor, electronic control board and the touchpad must be replaced . Approximate cost of parts is $500.00. Before you decide what to do, check the thermal fuse at the control panel first. If blown, replace it and the temp sensor. If you are lucky the control board may still be good.

Im getting F13 on my oven display when trying to use it?

Sabrina I do not see an F13 Error Code for Whirlpool, Try unplugging oven for a few minutes and then plug or switch power back on from breaker and it should reset. Also send the exact model number located inside your bottom drawer door or oven door. Here are all the codes listed for Whirlpool=> Whirlpool Fault Codes You also can find your user manual here=> Whirlpool User Manuals and model number Locator's here=> Model Number Locator's I have spent a lot of time trying to help and will be happy to assist you if you have more questions, Thanks, Sea Breeze

GJP85200 Whirlpool Oven display went dead

First you need to check if a supply is available to the machine. The safest way to do this is with a non-contact voltage detector. You can get one for around £10. (Also called volt sniffers by some) If you have an electrical supply to the machine I would call for service, use yell.com to contact your most local cooker engineer. If there is no supply you need to check back at your fuseboard to find out why.Have you reset all the trips?. Is there a spur with a fuse in it between the cooker and the fuse box?
