Question about HP ProLiant ML110 Server

Open Question

Layout of motherboard for a Proliant ML110

Hi Support

Thanks for looking into this.

I have swaped the motherboard in a Proliant ML110. Everything was able to be connected except the CN14 connector. Its a 10 pin connector and 1 of them is blocked off.

What I am looking is a pinout for this connector so I can split them out and connect them on the new motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

SOURCE: HP Proliant ML110 drivers required

Ge the Proliant Support Pack(PSP) as this will update all drivers at one time. If you haven't loaded an OS yet, get the SmartStart CD download. This will pre-populate the drivers on the server before starting the OS installation.

SOURCE: i need to download an hp proliant ml110 driver for window xp

HP does not support XP on their servers so you won't find appropriate drivers on their site under the ML110. The 110 is low end and in reality shares more in common with mid to high end PCs than othe servers though. Other than storage drivers you will probably be able to just let the XP install handle things.

For storage drivers you'll probably have to use the F6 option when installing and experiment until you find a driver that works. It's possible tha the Server 2003 driver will work but I wouldn't bet on it.

The ProLiant ML110 server with System BIOS Version 16 supports a total of eight IPL devices. Four IPL devices, such as the IDE controller and the floppy controller, are integrated, leaving support for four additional PCI IPL devices (i.e., PCI card plugged into PCI expansion slots); however, the ProLiant ML110 has five PCI expansion slots. Therefore, it is possible to configure the ProLiant ML110 with five PCI IPL devices (such as SCSI controllers or NICs) and exceed the limitation of System BIOS Version 16
The resolution to the problem is to update the System BIOS Version 17 which supports a total of nine IPL devices and five PCI IPL devices. Update the ProLiant ML110 server to System BIOS Version 17

I need windows server200 usb drivers for hp

Since I dont know which version you have, I assumed the ML110 original (see support.hp.com for other generations of this server)

also, i assume you are using server 2000 rather than 2003

After looking on their website, they dont seem to have the drivers you are looking for, you will need to look up either the usb controller (if it is an addon card) or the motherboard make and model (if using onboard usb ports) to determine the drivers you need.

With that information, I would be more than happy to help you find the drivers you need.

Thanks,
Mike.
