Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a 1998 Ford Mustang GT. The car will start and stay running for about 1-2 minutes, then it will quit running. I did a fuel pressure check and at initial start it is at 40 psi and after it starts it drops to 30 psi. after about 1-2 minutes, the fuel pressure starts plummeting down until it reaches 0 psi and shuts off. I have replaced the fuel pump, the cam shaft sensor, the crankshaft positioning sensor and the fuel filter!! Any ideas what can be causing this problem?

Sorry wrong category, my fault but I need help with trucks.

Hello Bobby
Posting in a wrong category is not a problem, as moderators, we can change categories (and fix spelling :>) The one thing you must do though is to give all of the information you are looking for in your first post. You mention that your problem is with 'Trucks'. In this case you must include make, model and year, so '2007 Ford F150' or whatever. Then a full description of what is wrong and what you might have tried to fix it yourself. So, something like

I have a 2007 Ford F150. My truck starts OK, but when it warms up, it stutters when I give it gas. I just put a new fuel pump in it from a breakers yard. Is there a way I can test it?

With a good question like that, you will get good answers (we are going to tell you to connect a fuel pressure gauge and will tell you that the pressure must be a minimum of 'x' and a maximum pressure of 'y'.

Whirlpool duet washing machine starting cycle runs a minute and then gives error code F and then H

No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.

Or

If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
    3. Verify inlet valve operation
  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
  • Verify there is not a siphon problem
  • Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check all hoses for possible leaks
  • Verify pressure switch operation
  • Verify flow meter operation
  • Verify CCU operation

Getting a H then a F error when the washer is washing a load.... I ended up turning it off. I've also received a F 02 error and a SUD error.

Hello, the H and F error means no water is detected entering the machine or the pressure switch trip is not detected. If the control has turn the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valve will be turn off and the error code will be display.
So try the following steps
1. Check drain pump operation
2. Check the pressure switch hose to see if it's in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch
3. Check is it is not a siphon problem
4. Check wire harness connections to: inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and central control unit(CCU)
5. Check all hoses for possible leaks
6. Check pressure switch operations
7. Check flow meter operation
8. Check CCU operation

F-02 ERROR: Means "Long Drain" that is if the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valve are turn off and F-02 is flashed. Check the following
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged kinked.
2. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
And for the SUD error means after 4 minutes of the draining process the "sud"error will be display and 4 minutes later the F-02 will be displayed. So apply the solution for the F-02 to these.
Thanks

My Kenmore elite 40512900 stays at 7 minutes

well often when it hits the last ten min of a cycle it is trying to drian more times then not it isnt or it hasnt senced it has drianed so odds are that your drian pump not drianing or you have a bad pressure switch. i would start with the drain pump often it has a filter that get clogged and can be gottin to from the front

Hello lilo1
Welcome

You said, You are getting an error code F/H but it works most of the time. Then it just quits
You may have low water pressure which the machine senses and after some minutes will shut down .
If any pump runs with insufficient water pressure it will burn out the pump so washers are made with auto shutoff's in those case it does shut off.
Check that the water valves are passing water out of the taps that are connected to the washer and they did not fail.
When you remove the water supply hose from the washer inlet, you will probably find the screens in the washer water inlet are blocked and need to be removed and cleaned off and then replaced.
Do not bend them up and you can re use them!
Below are causes and more remedies
Let me know how it goes!
