Maytag washing machine is locked up and will not spin.

The Maytag clothes washer will not spin and makes a loud squealing sound when it enters the spin cycle. The belt is OK but one of the drive pulleys seems stuck and will not turn

Remington rodeo rm5118r oil cap stuck, just spins freely and does not come out of threads

Hi Josh:
Sounds like it may have been overtightened and has stripped threads. I'd try locking a set of vice grips on it and then try turning it while pulling really hard. Once you get it removed you may need to buy a replacement, Or............ get several really thick rubber washers and only screw it in until it is snug.

Use Top Loader or Front Loader detergents Do you need to dissolve all powders or liquids before washing Can you alter spin time or speed

the use of liquid detergents is recommended over powders in washing machines as they do leave a mud build up over time in the bottom of the wash bowl
no they do have to be dissolved before use
spin speeds are set in the machine program and cannot be altered
spin time is set in the machine program and cannot be altered
use the recommended detergents for the machine because if you use top loader detergent in a front loader it will froth up excessively and cause problems for a front loader machine
the suitability of use for the detergent ( powder or liquid) is clearly marked on the labelling on the bottle or packet

My drill wont spin it just smokes and buzzes

Your brushes in the motor are shot. Or the drill got wet and the bearings are seizing up.

Sounds like it could be a clutch drum/ brake band rubbing issue

Husqvarna 55 rancher chainsaw acts like it is locked up, remove the spark plug and it spins fine. what is the problem?

That sounds like normal compression. By removing the spark plug you are eliminating the compression in the cylinder therefore it will turn freely. Doesn't sound like a problem.

However, check that it is the right spark plug for the saw. If it is too long then it may enter the cylinder too far and be acting like a piston stop.

Troy-bilt presswasher that is running fine but has no pressure from the unit and any water that is flowing thru is very hot when the engine is running.

Hello,

Your machine is air locked. Air in the supply line reaches the pump and the pump cavitates, allowing very little water to get by. Since the pump is just chewing air, it is getting very hot, producing the result that you see.
With the engine off, turn on the supply water and allow it to flow through your washer. You may need to lock the trigger on the wand in the open position, or hold the trigger down while purging the supply line. Make sure that there are no kinks in the supply hose and that any loops in the hose are straightened out. Raise the hose above your waist and walk it the length of the hose to the washer, forcing any air pockets through the hose and through the machine. This entire process will take about 5 minutes or so.
Release the trigger, start the machine and get to work. If the machine doesn't put up enough full pressure when you crank it, try cranking it while holding the trigger open. Sometimes the overpressure valve sticks, and can prevent full pressure from being reached. Holding the trigger open bypasses this issue, but doesn't repair it.

Best regards, W/D--

When i put my truck in gear and start moving my driver side rear tire makes a loud popping noise like it binding and locking up?

I would jack it up, put in neutral and spin wheel by hand and see if you hear anything, sounds like it could be wheel bearing, or rear drum brakes

I bought a Bernina sewing machine in USA but I took it to Colombia South America. The machine works well, but it makes noise when not in use. When you turn on the machine, there is a normal...

Generally humming sounds from electrical devices are transformers. If the machine has a transformer in it.. which is a device that changes the voltage stepping it down to a lower voltage or up to a higher voltage.. these transformers which are tightly wound coils of copper wire.. tend to hum.. same situation as an overhead fluorescent lamp fixture.. sometimes louder if the mounting screws are not tight or insulated with rubber washers.

Since the sound doesn't change.. my guess is that while in standby mode the current is still being supplied to this transformer..

I doubt you are doing any damage.. However the best thing you can do is check the voltage at the outlet to ensure you are gettting a true 110V and that the outlet is properly grounded. You need a ciruit tester to check for proper grounding.. they are inexpensive... but you will need a volt ohmn meter or similar device that can display voltage to check for proper voltage.

Low/improper voltage can be harmful to many eletrical devices.. So have it checked.

Finally..if the sufrace the machine is sitting on lends itself to amplify the sound.. vs. the surface you used in the states.. it would be much more noticable..

Best of luck

Safe will not unlock I`m using the correct code i initially entered,. it just makes a beeping sound

Moisture gets in to the locking mechanism causing the problem.Take a rubber mallet and tap the area below the number pad left right and middle area of the door. Then try to enter the code again to unlock it. After the door is open I would put a moisture absorbant inside the safe.

Chain not getting oil squealing sound--how to get clutch assembly off is what i'm not sure how to do. thank you

The clutch is just spun onto the crank, left hand thread ( with the bar and chain on it is self tighning).
The clutch centre ( spider ) has two indents ( cut-a-ways ) where you can insert the screw driver end of the combi spanner, with the deco valve out, tap the other end of the tool with a suitable hammer, keep jarring it against compression until it spins off, this is the correct way from the factory to remove it without the special tool, there is a workshop tool that fits into the center, with a 19mm nut on so as to use an impact wrech to remove the clutch, my advice is not to use a piston stop, or put anything into the cyliner to lock the piston, jarring against compression is the best way.
Because the clutch is just spun on, you should never run the saw with the bar and chain removed, the clutch could well fly off causing injury.
The special tool is part no. 502541601
