How to remove stripped hex screw on my delta handle sink faucet?

I tried to drill it and used a #1 screw extractor but won't make it. I think the extractor is too thivk for the hole.

The little wrench tightens the tension ring that fits on the inside of the retaining nut right under the handle. You fit the little "arms" in the notches.

SOURCE: I do not know how to remove the spout from a Delta

You shouldn't have to remove the ball to take the spout off. It simply slides onto the post. Simply rotate it back and forth while raising it up, it should slide off directly towards the ceiling.

SOURCE: My Delta Faucet Leaks

Check that we were looking at same parts diagram, but I would say RP-70 Ball assy., as well as RP-4993 Seats & springs . If it's only dripping, just seats and spring will usually get you by, but if they are sending parts, free of charge, or ball assy., isn't too expensive, I'd change it too. I have had some luck with removing ball assy, cleaning it well with fine steel wool, then removing seals, and springs, stretching spring slightly, to add more pressure to seal, clean seal, then dab on a little vaseline to seals, and re-assemble.

Can't get the handle off the faucet hex won't budge

Don't even bother. I have 3 Delta shower faucets and have run into the same issue WITH ALL 3 .

Step 1: Call Delta and have them send you replacement parts before you follow the next step (Trim sleeve, cartridge, handle)

Step 2: HACKSAW just outside the handle, right through until it snaps off.
That's the only way you will be able to access the nut.

I tried eveything - Vinegar, WD40, CLR, Banging, Jiggling...

Problem: The brass nipple on the cartridge will fuse with the metal on the handle. Alternately, so does the Allen Key screw. They will not release no matter how hard you try.

I called Delta and they confirmed that the two metals will fuse together over time (a short period of time, in my case), but it's not a fault design but the water. Their solution (moving forward) is to wrap the brass nipple with Teflon Tape before attaching the handle, so that the 2 metals won't make contact.

However, one would think that Delta would rectify this issue. Say by enclosing a thin plastic cap that seats over the brass nipple, or better yet, pre-coat the inside of the handle themselves?

Regardless, don't expend too much energy. If you can't loosen anything,

You can use any high speed drill bit and drill the set screw out, it should be chrome plated brass, so, it will be soft. If you get your sizing right, maybe, just over the size of hex in set screw, you may be able to save the handle and get the rest of the set screw out. You could also try an "easy out" that will fit in the shole you drill to extract the set screw.

I can't get the screw out of the handle of my delta single handle faucet to change the seats and springs. I think it must be stripped inside the handle.

In most cases you can use a self threading screw and screw it in the top of the stripped screw and slowly turn it out. Might have to use a tiny drill bit to pre drill first.

Cannot remove handle. Allen wrench receiver is stripped. Are there any other options? Thanks!

There is a home cleaning product called the The Works which will loosen the corrosion around the screw. Then use a screw extractor tool. You can find one at most hardware stores and home centers.
Another solution would be to call Moen Customer Support and ask for a new handle and repair parts for free. The faucet should have a lifetime warranty. When you have the new faucet parts in hand, literally cut the handle off the faucet with a hacksaw or drill the screw out to remove the handle.
