Averatec 3200 Dark screen

Try to re-install your operating system. It seems like some of the windows own files are corrupted.

The majority of LCD screens, with exception of the latest models, use a thin fluorescent tube (or tubes) to provide a back-light for the image you can still see. This is a very fragile tube(s) of small diameter and are powered via a small, narrow board that produces the high voltage needed to ionize. Either the tube(s) or the inverter for them is damaged.
If it is the tube, these are not costly but very fragile and often have soldered leads on their ends which requires some careful soldering to install them.

the inverter board below lcd panel will be faulty(inside lcd casing) try replace that it will solve the problem
in case if it is led-lcd then led-lcd panel will be faulty then replace whole panel ###www.aris.in####

If you are getting the logo in the beginning that means screen is fine. Reset defaults for BIOS and try booting your computer with the help of disk.

Seems to me the inverter is gone if you replace the inverter it will work like a charm

Yes..most probably its HDD. Remove the hrddisk and try booting. If it displays, no HDD.then the prob lies with HDD.

Do you know for sure the LCD screen and not the video card is faulty?
You may find it cheaper to repair the LCD screen than replacing it.

Connect an external monitor to the laptop and power it up, if you see a clear image on an external monitor, this means your video card is OK.

If you see a dim image or flicking image on the LCD screen it means you have a backlight problem.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

You will have to contact Averatec and get the cd rom that you need in order to restore it.

you may have fried the battery test if u can, but if it overheated u could of fried any of your hardware components which would also caused the screen of death
