You have possibly have a lens problem..
But it is expensive so its better if you buy a new one

some times its because of the CD (it cannot read the CD) all you have to do is try a different range of CD's to see what the prob is if it still doesnt read it may be coz of a scratched CD / Lens!!!!

You could try cleaning the drive with a dvd cleaner disk and also a can of compressed air to blow into the drawer. It may just be dirty. Good luck! I hope this helps you.

Check for fingerprints or dirt on your DVD. Wipe it clean and try again. Also check for scratches. Try another DVD and see if your system reads it.

Discs are not properly loading to its mechanisn catcher. Examine whether there is any foreign objects, like pin or so, fell inside the tray mechanism. Just take system out and check. This type of cases were reported to me by chat. If nothing is found such, the pitches of the gear wheel that turns the tray has damaged, and should be replaced. If so you have to disassemble the mechanism as a whole. There are some locks and positions when you reinsert the new gear wheel. It is really a skilled work. Don't attempt to do this if you are not familier with this type of work. Two high-tension springs are there inside, and there is a trik to place them in poisiton. OK.
