Question about Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a Canon EOS400D. Every time I try to take a flash photo there is a repeated clicking sound with error message 5 saying, "the built-in flash's auto pop-up was obstructed" yet I don't see anything obstructing it.

The flash up switch is not working properly. It probably just needs to be disassembled and cleaned. About a $125 repair at most shops.
Hope this helps.

Canon 60d built in flash will not pop up.

The external flash mount (hot shoe) has a small sliver of metal which when the external flash gun is slid on pushes it down to tell the body to not use the pop-up flash and some times the sliver doesn't return fully up to contact the underside of the hotshoe

This is a mechanical problem probably due to some sand or such material preventing the smooth opening. Try cleaning the open flash hinges with a cloth or brush. Apply a compressed-air can spray and/or a vacuum cleaner nozzle to the area. This happened to me with the Canon Rebel model. Google for the problem specific to your camera model for other solution.

My digital camera is canon power shot when his shutter open make sound kar...kar...kar... what can i do please suggested me

check flash auto 'pop up' operation. If the flash is trying to come up (in an auto flash setting) but if the mechanism is obstructed or stiff it might keep trying to deploy resulting in the sound you describe. This happened to my Canon EOS400D.

Green light, followed by yellow light flashes 5 times, then green again. Print screen says operator error, press printer's resume button.

Hi there
You can try not really know but it like your waste ink needs to be reset.

Start with the printer OFF

1. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
2. Release RESUME
3. Press RESUME twice, then release POWER
4. Wait until print head stops moving
5. Press RESUME four times (if four doesn't work try three times)
6. Press POWER once
7. Press RESUME four times (if four doesn't work try three times)
8. Press POWER once

Repeating the RESUME/POWER code twice made the difference, the fixes I found wouldn't work because they stopped at step 6.

The flash on my Canon EOS 400D won't work

Can you pull it up manually, Be careful when doing this but try opening it manually, it is possible that the catch for the flash is just stuck temporarily.

Built-in flash auto pop-up problem

Does the 'pop up' pop up? If it does and still says obstructed- closes it and pop it again If it still persists Canon customer support will advise the next move. If a repair price seems high you could perhaps get a separate flash if the camera accepts them.
