I have just bought an Epson SX600FW, and the copier and printing side of it works fantastically - I just tried to scan, however, and it says that the interface is not connected - but the USB is connected, otherwise it wouldn't be able to print...so what does this mean? I have two other cables I haven't used to that came in the packaging - one I think is an ethernet, and the other is a telephone cable for the fax part, I think.
Do you know what I could do to overcome this? Thanks a lot!

I had huge issues with my TM-U220. It does not play well with a Centronix-to-USB cable or with Windows 64-bit. I played for AGES to try and get it all to work.
I installed the USB device driver I was able to print the Test Page proving that the connection between Windows and the printer sort of worked, but when I tried printing anything from Unicenta POS, it always failed.
I finally bought a new Centronix-to-USB and a new parallel port card, used Windows 32-bit, and problem solved.
Had same problem with my SX600FW. Changed all cartridges umpteen times because head cleaning process empties working cartridges. Ended up with none of the colour cartridges working! Paid Epson repairer £20 for them to tell me the print head was clogged and repair will cost as much as a new printer!! Problem started just after warranty expired!! I shan't be buying Epson again even though it was a great tool when it was working.
I hada the same problem. I used the settings on the actual printer rather than through the software to input the information it needed and It works fine now. I was able to set it up on my husbands laptop without any problems, I just added his laptop through installing the software on his laptops as it had picked up the signal and was showing in the Network and sharing centre on Windows Vista premium. Hope this helps. I think you need to take the wire out now and now load it as wireless. You need to use the wire first to connect then take it out to connect to the wirelss network. My router is a Sky router.
