To reset the motherboard: set the dipswitches at OC_SW1 to ON-OFF-ON, then clear the CMOS Ram by setting the jumper at JBAT1 to pins 2&3 while the power is OFF. Wait fifeteen seconds,Then return the jumper to pins 1&2 and turn the power on. This will re-set you to the factory defaults. You will need to enter the BIOS and re-configure your hard disk. The manual can be downloaded at ECS's website at: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P41TC31.html#/?div=Manual

Different types of processors available in the market.

Remember, when buying an Intel socket 775 processor, not all socket 775 based motherboards support all socket 775 processors. So don't buy one without first checking compatibility. Not the same case with Socket AM2 for AMD processors, these just plug and play. Need more help? visit my website at http://www.motherboardsrus.net

Can the sSpec number affect the compatibility with my motherboard or not?

I think it should work. Make sure you update your bios. I dont see why it wouldn work. I have an intel 640 processor and I loved it. I recently got a dual core but it should work in any recent(past 3 years) 775 chipset mobo.
