That sounds like the databse file is corrupt. If you know what program causes this you can delete it and reinstall and should be good to go.

Cannot turn on palm tungsten e2, or turn it off

if you tries to turn it off and it turns back on after a few seconds.the birthda reminder in a contact record that spans past the new year (jan1)will trigger this.palm is aware of this paricular issue which is peculiar with the devices tungsten T3,T5*,E*,Ttreo 650* etc
for example if you create a contact record for a person which includes his/her name, phone number, adress and email adress.you also include his birthday, jan 2. you then choose the reminder to appear 7days before his birthday since this reminder will be triggered before january 1,the hand held may encounter problem not turning off.
solution
  • set the calendar to go off in the same calender year as the birth day(i.e on or after jan1)
  • in the example above changing the reminder to 1 day will prevent the issue
  • to change birthday reminder:open contact applicatio>open the record with the birhday>select edit>scroll to the birthday field> tap on the birthday>change the reminder.
  • like in the example above ,you change the number of days to 1
  • alternatively simply uncheck the birthday reminder box in order not to be reminded at all instead of changing the days if you dont want to be reminided at all.

My Palm Tungsten e2 keeps turning itself back on...it stays off for about 15 seconds after pushing the power key and then comes on again. Anything I can do?

I too was having this problem all of a sudden. I found another post about an apparent bug in the Palm OS. Do you have a birthday or appointment in the calendar with reminders that started in 2009? Try removing the reminders or making them start in 2010. I did that and my Palm now stays off when I power it off.

Pictures

1. Start palm desktop
2. Select media
3. Add one or multiple pictures
4. At next synch they will be in your palm
Anything sent to a palm HAS to be done in it's format.

Fatal Alert when doing hot sync on palm tungsten e2

you gotta do a hard reset. i had the same problem. go to the palmone website and look up how. make sure you back your stuff up in case you can't get things back. once you perform the hard reset the error should go away.

Synching with desktop

Check to make sure the cable is securely plugged in to the USB socket on your computer, and the other end is securely plugged into the Palm device. Unplug them and plug them in again, don't just push on the ends -- if there is dust or something messing up the connection unplugging and plugging in again might shake it loose.
