SOURCE: How can I transfer data from DVD to comp
Hello!! (at first, sorry for my english, i speak spanish) Well dear friend, maybe you forgot to do an important step. When you finish your video recording, you have to search in the MENU for "FINALIZE" and click it in your cam's LCD. It's the step for burn your dvd so then you'll be able to see it in your PC and any dvd player. So remember: Menu-Finalize- (it will ask "are you sure")you say YES- then wait for it to burn without moving your cam! and that's it. If that's not your problem try to buy and i.link cable for that cam to transfer the video directly from your cam to the computer. Good Luck!
SOURCE: disc will not play... camcorder wants to format the disc and says it is empty.
There is a software program that always saves me when I get careless and fill the disk to full. It''s called CD Roller. It''s called CD Roller.

I use Handbrake ( http://handbrake.fr ) to turn the minidvd files into Mpeg4 files. I have a canon dc 220 and I hook it up to my computer with the supplied USB cable. I then copy the files onto my laptop and use Handbrake to convert them to the mpeg4 format.

Scott,
Since this is a new camera, nothing was changed as far as the disc, it should work, has it been switched to "still" for photos, that's the message that comes up when you change it. You shouldn't have to finalize the disc before you shut off the camera, try starting it with another disc then shut it off replace it with your baptism disc and try to preview the video, if it shows you should be able to aad to it or then finalize it.
