SOURCE: Can I remove the screen covering the lint trap?

My son used a coat hanger to pull the attachment out of the space. Then we carefully opened the top opening enough to let the top of the attachment pass out. I never did find a way to open the space to get a hand in to pull out the attachment.

SOURCE: My lint trap has very little lint.

Older clothes do not produce as much lint as new ones. Also, if your dryer isn't getting as hot as it used to, then you won't get as much lint either. Does it seem to take a bit longer to dry your clothes? Also, check your dryer vent, if the airflow is reduced, the amount of lint that is expelled through the filter will deminish as well. You may have a build up of lint in the vent ducting to the outside that is restricting airflow.

SOURCE: lint trap

http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php This will show you how your dryer is put together. The lint has gone directly to the fan, where it could affect fan performance. You would have to remove the front off the dryer, and the cover off the fan area. It's not a bad idea to clean this area once in a while.

SOURCE: How to clean out lint at the bottom of lint tray?

remove front panel by releasing clips holding top to front. use putty knife and press in on 2 hidden clips. top will lift, hinged at back, then find two screws holding front to sides, remove and lift panel up and out. clog in these is very common at bottom of plastic duct on panel going into blower.

First the most obvious and you've most likely covered yourself look at the lint trap/if clogged clean thoroughly with vacuum cleaner pull out lint trap and **** up as far as deep as you can get some of the lint that you don't see and believe me there's a ton depending on your exhaust/vent type . Next go outside check the vent attached to the outside of home for clogs/lint buildup lastly here's a trick I've personally used SEVERAL TIMES on my old ge dryer if you have a LEAF BLOWER pull dryer out of the way and next go outside remove exhast vent usually 4 phippls screws going out next remove vent/trap outside go back inside and use the leaf blower to blow out all of the lint caught in the vent tube your be surprised how much was in there. HOPE this quick fix addresses your dryer issue if not its most likely the dryers thermostat they're fairly cheap online. Just trying to save you a buck friend. Have a good day Ryan in Minnesota

How do I open the drum area of Kenmore model #66712694 dryer to clean it?

First you need to determine if your dryers blower housing and other components are located in the rear of the dryer or underneath the dryer. The quickest and most simple way to do this is to look at the front of the dryer and see if it is one complete front or two pieces. There will be a small gap completly across the front about a quarter way up if its two. If its two pieces then your work is going to be up front. You remove the lower kickplate with a flat screw driver and pressing the clips, one on each side in the groove. If its a solid front then you'll need a 1/4 " driver or drill with 1/4" socket, adapter, etc. From the rear of the dryer, there are about nine 1/4 inch screws you take off to access the area your looking for. Hope this helps, good luck. Now to look around the drum area, it also depends on if its one or two pieces. If one, remove the lint trap and take the two phillips head screws then take a flat head and pop the top up. Then inside, top front left and right sides there are two screws, either 5/16" or 1/4" screws you need to remove to pull the front off. If two pieces you'll have to pop the top as earlier, but you'll have to remove the kickplate, then two additional screws at the lower portion of the top piece as well as the top.

Sometimes, a Whirlpool dryer may not function as you'd like.Although specific details vary by model, the company offers several generalguidelines to troubleshooting your Whirlpool dryer and getting it back intoworking order.

Verify that thedryer is connected to its power source if it won't turn on. Whirlpool alsosuggests checking your home's circuit breaker, as the high power needs of thedryer may have tripped the circuit. If the circuit has been tripped, reset itby flipping it back into the "On" position. Push the door of the dryer. Whirlpool designed its appliances to not turn onif the dryer isn't secured and notes that the dryer door may not be fullyclosed even if it appears shut. Push firmly at the top and bottom of the door,as some Whirlpool models have two latches. Press the "Start" button again. Whirlpool reports that some modelsrequire you to press and hold the button for five seconds to fully start themachine. Depending on the model, the button may be labeled "Hold toStart," "Start" or "Push to Start." Check that the dryer's settings knob is set to an actual drying mode and notsimply "Air" or "Tumble." On most Whirlpool models, themanufacturer states that the settings knob should be set to"Accudry," "Timed Dry" or "Automatic Dry." Clean the lint trap, typically located at the top of the dryer and removedby pulling its plastic handle. Over time, lint and dust builds up here. Thethicker the trapped layer of lint, the slower your dryer performance. Whirlpoolrecommends removing built up lint after every dryer load. Remove some of the wet clothes inside the dryer if it's taking an unusuallylong time to dry your clothes. Whirlpool warns that placing too much clothinginside the dryer reduces hot air circulation, which also reduces dryingcapabilities. Recommended dryer load s vary, with compact Whirlpool modelsholding approximately 3.4 cubic feet while extra large Whirlpool dryers holdingmore than 7 cubic feet.

Go outside and look at your flapper valve. Here is another news flash the lint filter can be clean but the air ducts in the dryer can still have lint build up in them. Pull out the lint trap also then using a flaishlight look underneath and around the lint trap area for lint build up. If you don't see anything there remove the rear vent hose and look both into the dryer and into the vent hose. Most likely you find either a kinded vent hose or lint buildup somewhere other than the lint trap itself. If you do find the source just do not use anything sharp to attempt to remove the lint. A bent metal coat hanger or a very large zip / spot ite works great for this task. Hopefully this will resolve your problem. If not post back and we can go from there.

Check your lint trap and piping. Make sure that no lint is clogged in the lint trap all the way to out side. This is a pretty common issue.

Lint problem

You must GRARANTEE full and free ari flow outside of the building. Typically this type of complaint is related to restricted air flow outside of the machine...normally there is lots of lint, and it exits through the filter, but when flow is restricted, lint remains inside.

Bosch dryer warning sounder for container full will not stop

Hi
You need to remove the left side panel, this is the side where the drain container is, once removed you will see the drain pump with two pipes coming from it, remove the pipes and top cover, disconnect the wiring, remove the pump unit with the clip, clean the float unit and pump, also remove the congealed mess in the water trouth as this is what holds the float up and makes the machine think the drain container is full.
I bet you will find this will cure the problems you are having, it did with mine.

ours did the same thing and it was caused by lint build up in the track where the screen goes into. It was tough to vacuum out but I made a thin hose that would reach down to the bottom and scrape and vacuum out the hardened lint.

Lint is not going into pull out lint trap. The lint screen is torn and lint is collecting behind trap.

Poor air flow would be my guess. How long is the vent hose? Does it have more than one angle/turn before venting outside? Is the lint gathering around the outer edges of the door? Keeping the length of air travel shorter will improve the operation.
