Question about Jura Capresso C3000 Espresso & Coffee Maker
Hi All, I opened my Jura capresso to fix it and there is a yellow clip with hole on one side that I can't figure out where it goes. I thought it was on the brew body lower water supply assembly but I can't figure out how it goes on. If somebody has a picture of it. I think there is only one yellow part in the whole machine. Many thanks in advance. AJ
I found out where it goes, thanks to Juergen, who pointed me toward his excellent page on Jura cleaning: see figure 7d, copied here
which shows the yellow clip helping to hold on the tea pipe. I'm guessing that if you don't use the tea pipe, you will be okay. Otherwise you can just put that clip back on next time you clean the machine.

Your spout is probly cracked (a common problem). It won't hurt the machine if you want to live with making one cup at a time to catch it all.
If you want to get it repaired go to www.hotncold.com Click on Jura Repair for shipping instructions. We can turn the job around in 24 hours. The repair will also include a free software update.

I have some good instructions I downloaded from www.kaffeestudio.com . They are in German, but with many pics. If you are technically adept, then it is really no prblem. You should put in new o'rings and lubricate with the food grade silicon grease before reassembly, otherwise it won't be long before you are doing it again. Give yourself about 3 hours to perform this task the first time. One thing to remember. The cleaning tablets tend to strip the lubrication from the brew units, subsequently binding up the brew unit, sometimes tearing the o'rings and giving the malfunction 8. Plan on this being an ongoing maintenance exercise. Plan on at least once every year or two to have to do this.
