Question about Sharp LC 46SV50U 46" LCD TV
Just purchased a new Sharp LC-46SV50U from Best Buy this past weekend. After viewing it for a couple days, I've noticed a trend that whenever the screen is mostly dark, it seems to get a bit blurry, and when the camera pans.. remnants of whatever was there previously can still be seen for a second or two. It also happens whenever playing darker games on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, etc. Is there a setting that I am missing that can correct this? I have an LG 47 inch LCD also, and have never noticed something like this occur on that one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I have a sharp aquos
Take it back-before the warranty runs out. Once in a great while you get a lemon. Stand firm. Don't let them 'fix' it.. You want a new one. The warranty time clock is still running while they are trying to fix it. You want another one-with a new warranty.

Well this is not exactly a solution as much as it is just to inform you of what I've found out. I actually posted one of the problems listed below as guest. Either way, after having techs come to my house to replace the main board and component board to a total new (well, refurbished) TV exchange; I finally got some answers that clarified exactly what was going on. Today when I called Sharp to complain about the problems still happening with the new unit, they explained that they looked into the problem and it actually seems like there is an issue with the TV interpreting the signals coming from the XBOX. So essentially the signal is more than the TV can handle and then it lags behind a little. When this happens it can get confused and might want to switch resolutions (like going from 1080p to 1080i) for an instant and this is what causes the "blackout" issue. Apparently they are working on a firmware upgrade which should take care of the issue which should come out (hopefully) within the next 30 days. As soon as they do come out with the firmware upgrade I will post it on this page so everyone having the same issues can go ahead and upgrade. Hope this information is useful to some of you.
